【教学目标】
(一)知识目标
1.阅读并理解Cartoon time的内容,学会表演,明白Cartoon time 的幽默之处。
2.听懂,会读,会说单词:look out of, go on ,still, spend, make a sentence.
3.了解er在单词结尾的发音。
(二)能力目标
在前两课的基础上会正确并熟练对比以前和过去, 感受个人的成长和社会的进步。
(三)情感目标
了解到伟大的发明改变了我们的生活。
【教学重点】
1. 在故事感知中掌握新单词,能运用文中的句子来交流。
2. 了解er在单词中的发音。
【教学难点】
学生能对比描述过去和现在的情况。

【课前先学】
1. 预习Sound time, 在书上写出音标,并举例子(至少两个)
2. 预习Cartoon time,读熟,并划出词组
3. 预习Culture time,查一查第一架飞机和第一辆火车的发明者,并查一查中国四大发明的英文名。

Step 1. Preparation Let’s review T: Last two lessons, we had learned something about these four parts. Now can you say something about them S:….. Play a game- Yeah yeah yeah or no no no! Step 2. Presentation & Practice Sound time T: Learning English was not popular in the past. But now it is becoming more and more important and popular. Sam and Bobby also learn English at school. Look, they are having an English lesson . Now they are reading the words and sentences. Let’s learn it together. Listen and read Listen to the tape and try to read after it. Find and conclude Find out the words’ similarities and try to tell the pronunciation of “er” 3.apple tree Present some other words includes / / and read. Eg.father,brother,under,together… Cartoon time You know Bobby and Sam are having an English lesson now.The lesson goes on,but their teacher gets angry,why 1. Watch the cartoon and answer. Miss Fox gets angry ,why 2.Read and judge T: Let’s read cartoon time together, then do the judge. _____1.It is a Chinese lesson. _____ 2. Today is Wednesday . _____ 3. Bobby listened carefully in class. _____ 4. Miss Fox was very angry. _____ 5. Sam made a sentence with ‘egg’. T: Boys and girls, can you help Sam make a sentence with “egg” Listen and repeat 4. Think and imagine T: Bobby said “the egg was in the cake”.If you were Miss Fox, what would you say 4.Read and act 5.Let’s guess T: You know Bobby and Sam are talking in class. What are Bobby and Sam talking about Let’s guess. Culture time. T: They are talking about the book called Great Inventions.The book tells us the great inventions all over the world. Show the pictures of the first aeroplane and train. Read Culture time and answer. T: Who invented the first aeroplane and train The Americans invented the aeroplane. The British invented the train. T:Do you know the name of the inventor the first aeroplane:Wright brothers the first train:George Stephenson Step 3. Production & Progress Show the pictures of the four great inventions of the names . 2. show the other important inventions 3.Listen carefully in class, we will know a lot and be a useful person! 伟大的发明改变了我们的生活,列举了四个方面,从而可以点出本单元的主题“Then and now”。 通过小游戏,自然过渡到Sound time 听录音时要求学生模仿语音语调,抽读小组或者个人。 学生讨论总结出发音规律。 请一个男生一个女生比赛,在树上写一下,比一比,看谁写的又快又多。 学生可能利用文中句子回答:Because Bobby is looking out of the window.或者Because Bobby and Sam are talking.教师肯定其答案,并总结Bobby and Sam didn’t listen carefully in class. 通过自读课文让学生判断对错 Sam因为和Bobby在讲话,所以他根本没有听到Miss Fox 的问题,于是我让学生帮助Sam来回答这个问题,用egg来造句。 跟读 为课文加一个结尾,猜想一下Miss Fox听到了Bobby的回答后会有什么反应。学生可能会说“Oh,my god!”,“Oh,dear!”,“Bobby,stand up,go out!”…鼓励学生发挥想象。 让学生猜测Bobby和Sam在讨论什么,然后教师揭示答案他们在讨论一本Great inventions,自然过到Culture time。 在读Culture time时提醒学生注意“the”的读音 通过预习,学生们已经知道答案,不过老师最好再教授一下“British”和“Americans”这两个单词。 大概介绍Wright brothers和George Stephenson的发明 文中给我们呈现的是西方国家的发明,给学生拓展介绍中国的四大发明。
