It is very difficult for us to forgive people sometimes. My best friend and I had an argument (争吵) recently and we decided not to 1 to each other over the summer. For me it was really 2 not to talk to her, since we had always been together for so many years. We hurt each other’s feelings 3 and I was not sure how to fix the problem. I apologized to her but nothing seemed to work.
I had the same 4 once, and that taught me a couple of lessons. Being wronged by another person is a way of 5 us how easily we can be hurt, and perhaps we will be less likely to hurt someone else because we, ourselves, have been hurt or wronged.
I realized that we are not 6 and that it’s not possible to meet others’ standards all the time and that it’s also painful when we can’t meet our own. I 7 hoped that I wouldn’t push it to the next level, that is, to the worse situation but I just did. 8 seems to be the key to the bad cycle of the mistakes we made.
I was not 9 whether we were going to be friends after the summer or not, but I did learn something 10 . We need forgiveness in our lives, because when the problems cannot be solved immediately, that is the only way to make things better.
