Module 6 Unit 2 Was it a big city then
教学内容:Lingling给Amy看自己爷爷的照片,并告诉Amy爷爷现在住在深圳。Amy知道现在的深圳是一座大城市,而Lingling告诉她,以前深圳只是一个小渔村。
教学目标:
1.全体学生能理解运用village。
2.全体学生能运用Was it a big city then 这类语句,并介绍一个自己喜欢的地方过去与现在的不同。
3.全体学生能运用“was, were”询问过去事物或人物的特征和状态。
4.整体感知一般疑问句的语音语调。
教学重难点:
Word: village
Sentences: Was it a big city then
Yes, it was. /No, it wasn’t.
It was a very small village then.
教学过程:
Step 1: Warm up and lead-in
Greeting: T: Good morning, everyone. Let’s chant together. Ok
Ss: Ok.
Contents: Were you at school
Were you at the zoo
Were you at the park yesterday
Yes, I was. Yes, I was.
I was out yesterday.
T: Are you happy now Let‘s sing a song..
(设计意图:以说唱chant和歌曲热身导入,调动课堂气氛,吸引学生的注意力,提高学生学习热情。)
Free talk. (老师可以就其个别学生的特征提问,根据实际情况回答)
T asks “Were you fat/thin…then
S1: Yes, I was. /No, I wasn’t.
T: Was she/he/it/…then ”
S2: Yes, she/he was. / No, she/he wasn’t.
(设计意图:通过对话,用学过的句型Were you… 来提问,引导学生学会转换用Was she/he… 来进行询问,同时复习了fat, thin, short等形容词。PPT出示情境图片,引导学生用was和were来提出正确问题。)
a. Listen to the video about activity 1.
T: Oh, he is strong. Was he strong then
Ss: Yes, he was.
T: This man is strong. He is also very healthy. And we should eat healthy and do exercises to keep our health. Have a healthy body, we can go travel, enjoy the beautiful scenery.
(设计意图:出示一个小孩强壮的画面,进行情感教学,从而导入新课。)
b. Listen again (让学生跟读,模仿正确的语音语调)
Step 2: Presentation
T: Do you like travelling
Ss: Yes, I do.
T: Me too. I have been to a beautiful city. (T shows a group of pictures)
Now, look at these pictures, and guess where it is.
S1: Dalian/…
T: No.
S2: Guangzhou
T: Yes, it is. This is Guangzhou.
Guangzhou is a beautiful city now.
It is clean and modern.
Was it a big city then No, it wasn’t. It was a small city then.
(设计意图:出示老师去过的城市的对比照片,深入学习,练习如何用学过的形容词来进行描述,并询问它过去的状况。)
T: Where have you been to Do you like it 你曾经去过什么地方 你喜欢那里吗 你能说出它过去与现在的变化吗?让我们先来看看Lingling是如何向Amy介绍深圳过去与现在的不同.
Text teaching
PPT shows the pictures about Shenzhen. (展示出深圳过去和现在的照片)
Listen to the video. T asks Ss:
Where is Lingling’s grandpa
Was it a big city then (板书,展示深圳还是小渔村时的照片,引导回答。)
授village,鼓励学生运用village造句。
E.g. My grandma lives in a small village.
Hainan was a small village then.
Read in roles.
Step 3: Practice and Extension
(课件出示一些城市的图片,引导学生进行描述) Do you want to be a guide Now you can try your best to introduce your favourite city. Then show out. (分组相互介绍自己喜欢的地方现在与过去的不同。
