一般过去时与一般现在时的比较和运用;
运用一般过去时和一般现在时进行简单的写作。

教学过程:
Step1 Review (5 minutes)
Free talk
T: What day is it today What day was it yesterday
Did you watch cartoons yesterday My favourite cartoon is Doraemon. Doraemon has a ability. He can go anywhere through the door. Today he’ll take us to enjoy a time travel. What’s behind the door It’s a secret.
Purpose: review the key sentences and the past tense.
Play a game
T:It’s a very popular game “Plants V&S Zombies”.
Rule: When you see the verb, say its past tense; when you see the zombie, clap your hands twice.
Purpose: review the past tense of key verbs that will be used in the next activity and draw students’ attention.
Step2 presentation(23 minutes)
1.Look and say(5mimutes)
T: Look at these pictures. They are old things. I think, Doraemon takes us to the past. What could people do in the past
Put them into different categories.
T: These are new things. Look at the pictures. What are these
Put them into different categories.
Purpose: present pictures to evoke students’ vocabulary of this unit. Then come out phrases according to the vocabulary. These phrases will be presented again as hits for students when they writing a article. Besides, this activity will let students learn to classify information and know to write the article from four aspects.
2. TWK(3minutues)
T:Doraemon looks sad. He wants to write down the things he saw before.But he doesn’t know how to describe the past and the present. Let me help him. Let’s watch the video.
T: I think after watching, you and Doraemon have a clearer idea of the two tenses. We can use the two tenses to describe the past and the present.
Purpose: Help the students get a clear idea of the difference between the past tense and the present tense to prepare for the next writing part.
3. Listen and answer(5minutes)
T: Doraemon still looks puzzled. It’s OK. My assistant Xiao xiao will help him. First, let’s listen. Find a best title.
Hello, I’m Xiao xiao. Twelve years ago, I could not walk or speak. But now I can read and ride a bike. Ten years ago, my parents usually went to work by bus. Now they can go by train. They can read e-books on the train. In the past, they could only use the telephone at home. Now they can use mobile phones everywhere. I love the life now. I feel very happy. (show on the PPT)

Q4: How does Xiao xiao feel now
T: Look at the four questions. Look at the four key words. We can write from four aspects.
Purpose: In this activity, present a whole article to students. On one hand, let them listen to it to practise their listening. On the other hand, Practise whole sentences by answering the four answers which provide four key elements of an article. What’s more, the article is still an example for students to imitate.
write an article (10minutes)
T: Today Doraemon takes us to a time travel. We see so many changes from the past to the present. What about the changes in your family Please write an article about changes in my family. Five sentences are enough.
Before writing, I have some tips for you.
T1: Title
T2: Capital word
T3: No blank in the front
T4: Don’t let a word be divided into two parts at the end of a line. Begin at the next line.
Purpose: This is the major part. All the above activities are prepared for this part. Since students are trained from words to sentences and provided with four aspects, it’ll be easy for them to write an article by themselves.
Step4 correcting and sharing(11minutes)
Correcting(8minutes)
(1) The teacher as a corrector(5minutes)
Choose one student’s article, present it in front of the students. Correct mistakes if they are found. Polish some sentences if needed. Praise him/her according to his/her article.
Purpose: The teacher plays the key role in the part to set an example “Where need to correct and What is a good article”.
(2) Students as corrector(3minutes)
Work in pairs to share and correct articles each other.
Purpose: In this part, the students will play as teachers to learn to correct and appreciate others’ article. By this way, their initiative will be evoked and their passion will be aroused .
Sharing(3minutes)
Ask some students to share their articles and ask other students to give their opinions. The teacher will provide aids when needed.
Purpose: show the fruit and let the students learn to appraise an article.
Step5 Conclusion(1minute)
At the end of the class, make a conclusion about the class.

What should we pay attention to when writing an article (Four learning tips)
Purpose: Review what we’ve learned today. Emphasize key pints again.
Homework: write an article about the changes in your friend’s family. Share it next time.
T: Next, Doraemon will go to the future. So next time, We will choose the best writer to go with him.
Purpose: Consolidate the knowledge we’ve learned. Practice makes perfect.
