It was a book about space travel. Daming is very interested in space travel. He loves the present very much.
Daming showed Simon his birthday present. Simon was interested in the book too. Daming asked him to read the book with him.
In the book, they saw many pictures of spaceships from China, Russia and the US. They learnt a lot about space travel.
Daming and Simon finished the book. Then they decided to make a paper spaceship together. They gave the spaceship to Simon’s mum. Daming thanked her for the birthday present. She was very happy.

描述过去发生的动作或存在的状态的句型。
例句：We watched TV last night.

该句的时态为一般过去时。一般过去时表示在过去某个时间发生的动作或存在的状态，常和表示过去的时间状语连用，如: yesterday（昨天）; last night（昨晚）等。
动词过去式的变化规则
规则变化：动词变化很好记，一般末尾加-ed；
如果词尾有个e,紧跟其后加个d;
辅音+y怎么办,变y为i加-ed;
重读闭音节词很容易，先双写辅音字母再加-ed。

“主语+bought+某人+某物.”意为“给某人买了某物”，是已经发生了的动作，句子要用一般过去时态。其中bought 是buy 的过去式，是不规则变化。当想表达“给某人买了某物”时，还可以用句型：主语+ bought +某物+ for + 某人.
