【教材分析】
本课是科普版小学英语六上第9课的Let’s talk，本册书第7课是日期的表达，第8课是日期与节日结合的表达，而第9课是在前两课的基础上，从日期入手开始过去时态的学习，是学生初步接触过去时态，但因为涉及过去式，动词过去式是一个难点，需要通过学习及训练让学生逐步掌握，整体学习难度上呈现出一种螺旋递增的趋势。有旧知识的复现，又有新知识的增加。要求学生可以理解新的语法，并能掌握基础的句型形式，结合日常生活进行运用表达。
【学情分析】
学生已经学过日期及节日的表达，对于月份、序数词、节日词汇掌握得还可以，因此从熟悉的句型过渡到过去时态，在理解上并不难，重点在于对过去式变化形式的理解，以及在生活中真实地运用它。
【教学目标】
1、能感知、理解、正确朗读课文。
2、能理解过去时态及一些动词的过去式以及原形。
3、掌握核心词汇 yesterday June
理解： sports meeting
