STEP 1 Lead in
a. show some pictures to get students to notice the topic ‘Danny’s favourite colour’ .
STEP 2 Learning the new words
a. Show some pictures to learn the new words of today’s lesson.
b. Match the new words with the right pictures.
c. Do a blank fill-in to practice using today’s new words.
STEP 3 Listening
a. Listen to the tape and answer the question ‘What is Danny’s favourite colour ’
STEP 4 Reading
a. Read the dialogue and find out whether the statements are true or false.
b. Read the dialogue together.
c. Read the dialogue in pairs.
d. Show the dialogue in front of the class.
STEP 5 Group work
a. Work in groups and paint the cans.
b. Make up a sentence to describe their painting activities.
c. Ask what their friends’ favourite colours are and show their dialogue in front of the class.
d. Fill in the table and name some things that are those colours in the table.
STEP 6 Homework
a. Ask the students to interview their friends and talk about colours with their friends.
