（1）no longer的用法
We have decided to each sell five things that we no longer use.
我们决定每个人出售五件我们不再使用的东西。
1.no longer意为“不再”,通常放在行为动词的前面,be动词的后面。no longer可用not...any longer代替。
例如:After her father died,she no longer went to school.=After her father died,she didn’t go to school any longer.她的父亲去世后,她就不再上学了。
2.no more/not...any more与no longer/not...any longer同义,但用法有所区别,当涉及数量和程度时,要用no more/not...any more。
例如:There is no more bread.没有面包了。

（2）to be honest的用法
...but,to be honest,I have not played for a while now.
……但是,说实在的,我现在已经有一段时间没玩了。
1.to be honest是不定式短语作插入语,意为“老实说,说实在的”。类似短语有:to tell (you) the truth“说实话”,to be frank“坦率地说”。
例如:To be honest,you can’t pass the exam.老实说,你不能通过这次考试。

3.honest虽然以辅音字母h开头,但h不发音,所以honest仍然是以元音音素开头的词,故其前的不定冠词用an。
例如:Everybody trusts him because he is an honest person.

（3）search的用法
Nowadays,millions of Chinese leave the countryside to search for work in the cities.现在,数以百万计的中国人离开农村去城市里找工作。
search是不及物动词,意为“搜寻;搜查”。search还可以作及物动词。
例如:After we had landed,the plane was searched thoroughly.
我们降落之后,飞机被彻底搜查过了。

辨析search,search for与search...for
search 作动词时,意为“搜查,搜寻”,是及物动词,后面直接跟“被搜的对象”
search for 当没有“被搜的对象”只有“寻找的目标”时,则用search for
search...for 若表示搜查某一对象的目的是要找某物时,要用search...for,强调有具体搜查对象且有具体的寻找目标

（4）consider的用法
consider作动词,意为“考虑;思考”时,其后可直接接名词或动名词形式,即consider (doing) sth.意为“考虑(做)某事”。
例如:We must consider the final results.我们必须考虑到最终的结果。
They are considering traveling to Europe.他们正考虑去欧洲旅游。
