一、Teaching Aims:
1 . Knowledge Aims:
①Enable Ss to listen, speak, read, write the new word “month, March, April May ,June.” Correctly.
②Make sure Ss can listen and say “What’s your favorite month? ” , “My birthday is in …… ”, “When is your birthday? , “ It’s in ……”
2. Ability Aims:
①Ss can use English to describe their favorite month and ask others what’s their favorite month。
②Ss can use English to ask others “When is your birthday” and use English to tell others when is their birthday.
3. Emotion Aims:
①Help Ss to understand the relationship between month and Festival.
②Help Ss to realize that it’s important to care others by asking “when is your birthday”。

①Ss can master the new words::month, March, April ,May ,June.
②Ss can use the patterns: What’s your favorite month?

Step1: Warm up
Greeting and sing the song .
Step 2: Presentation
Revision and lead in
Show the Ss pictures and review the seasons
T:How many seasons are there in a year?
Ss: Four
T: Yes, Right! They are …..
Ss: spring, summer , fall, winter.
T; Great! We all know there are four seasons in a year, and these four seasons made of Twelve months, so today we are going to learn Months of the Year
(Write down the title on the blackboard :Unit 7 Months of the Year(1) Lesson13)
Practice the word “month”.

1) The teacher take out the calendar, and turn to March 8th (2mins)
T: Look at calendar, It’s Women’s Day. Who knows which month is it?
S1: March
T: Yes you’re so clever. (Write “March” on the blackboard.)
Practice the word March.

Ss:March,March, (Use rising-falling tone to practice this word.)
Then one group practice it tow by two.
(注意指导学生‘ar’ 字母组合的发音,park, car, March;)
The teacher take out an apple and sing (3mins)
T; Apple round , apple red apple juicy apple ,apple apple I love you , apple sweet I love to eat . Do you like apples?
Ss: Yes.
T: There are many apples in “April”. (show the Ss word card April and lead in the teaching of April)
Write down the word “April”. Pay attention the pronunciation of /e?/ and the distinguish of “apple” and “April”.

Ask some Ss to read it and then read it sub-role (Gs---Bs)
take out the calendar, and turn to May 1st。(2mins)
T: Look, it’s May Day .
Write down the word “May” Pay attention the pronunciation of /e?/ . ( the Same as teaching April)
通过谐音帮助学生记忆单词May. 5月1日是劳动节,劳动最光荣,劳动是一种美德,因此五月的英语发音May 跟“美”很像。
4) T: Ok, now, I have a question , When is Children's Day ?who can tell me ,who can? (2mins)

5.Consolidate the new words along with the word cards: “month, March, April ,May ,June.
1) Play a game: What’s missing
2) Group one is March , Group two is April, Group three is May, Group four is June. The teacher is month.
When the teacher show the Ss word card March ,March group Stand up and say March march, Same as April , May , June .
3. .Learn the new sentences. (5mins)
T: (日历重新翻到3月)
T: My favorite month is March. In these four months ,what’s your favorite month?

T: Thank you , great ! My favorite month is march, because Women’s Day is in March.( 教师讲解时,配以单词卡片和日历,帮助学生了解教师所表达的内容)
4.To learn the text (5mins)
Give the students three questions
Questions:
① What’s Sally’s favorite month?
②. When is Sally's birthday?
③ When is Chen Ling's birthday?
Ask Ss listen to the dialogue carefully and underline the answers.
Then ask some Ss to answer the questions.
5. listen to the tape again cafully ,and then read again along with tape listening (3min)
6. Ask some Ss to be Little Translators(2mins)
7. Students read the text sub-role(2mins)
Step3:Practice
1.. T: Whose birthday is in March?(3 mins)
(教师引导学生回答)Ss:My birthday is in March.
(teacher ask those who ‘s birthday is in March to stand up )
Then the whole class ask together “when is you birthday”, and they answer “ It’s in March.”
2. Use the same way to ask
T: Whose birthday is in May?
Ss:My birthday is in May..
Some Ss: when is you birthday
The other Ss;It’s in May.
