固定句型：某地+be动词+in the+表示方位的名词+of+其他.
用法：在此句型中，若表示地点的名词为复数，be动词用are。
例句：Sanya is in the south of China. 三亚在中国的南部。
Jilin and Liaoning are in the north of China. 吉林和辽宁在中国的北部。

知识拓展：方位表达（以east为例）
（1）A 在 B 的东部，若 A 在 B 的范围之内，用句型“A is in the east of B.”。
Shanghai is in the east of China. 上海在中国的东部。
（2）A 在 B 的东部，若 A 在 B 的范围之外，相隔一定的距离， 用句型“A lies to the east of B.”。
Beijing lies to the east of Xinjiang. 北京位于新疆的东部。
（3）A 在 B 的东边，若 A 与 B 相邻，用句型“A is on the east of B.”。
Jiangsu is on the east of Anhui.江苏在安徽的东边。
