Learning that you are eager to know traditional Chinese Festivals, I am writing to tell you something about the Spring Festivals.
There is no denying that there are a variety of festivals during a year in China. Among them the Spring Festival stands out. It represents unity and harmony(它象征着团结与和谐).Before the Spring Festival,people purchase as much food as possible, preparing for the family dinner on the New Year's Eve as well as the following days. 【备年货】Another tradition is to put up the couplet on each side of the door, expressing the best wishes.【贴春联】Of course,setting off firecrackers on the very night of the Eve and the next morning is also a must【放烟花】，which is the most important for people. As a rule, people are supposed to visit their friends and relatives, exchanging their greetings. [ 拜年 】 Meanwhile, they usually give lucky money to children. 【发压岁钱】
If you have a chance to experience it, you'll have a deep understanding of the Spring Festival.

Knowing that you are interested in the Dragon Boat Festival, I’m writing to introduce something about it to you.
The Dragon Boat Festival is also called the Duanwu Festival. It is one of the traditional Chinese festivals and it is held on the fifth day of the fifth month. It is said that this festival is celebrated /observed in memory/ honor of Qu Yuan , a great poet in ancient China who loved his country and drowned himself in a river to stick to his ideal. It has been celebrated in many/various ways, especially marked by two activities: racing dragon boat and eating zongzi. Dragon boat races, dating back to/from more than 2,000 years ago, are very popular with people especially for those in the south. Zongzi, made up of rice and wrapped in fresh bamboo leaves, is also a special food
for the festival and comes in many different flavors.
