Greeting the students and make them ready for learning.

Task 1: How do you feel
The teacher shows several pictures to review some words about feelings: happy, sad, angry, worried, upset…
Task 2: What’ s it in the magic box
Choose a student and let him/her touch the things in the magic box. Teacher uses toy snake to present frightened and apples to present taste good.
Task 3: Group work: make sentence of part 2.
Show all the pictures, key words and the example of 2 on the screen one by one. Let the students ask and answer in pairs according to the example. Let the students pay more attention to the form of the verbs. Finish 2.
Stage 3 While-listening
1. Listen to the conversations and number the pictures.
2. Listen again and write down the linking verbs and the adjectives.
Stage 4: Post-listening Step 1: Practice 1a
Task 1: Enjoy the video of Do Re Mi
Let students listen to 1a and know about the theme song of movie: The Sound of Music.
Task 2: Read 1a and match the three parts.
Task 3: Pair work
Let students ask and answer questions in pairs based on 1b.
Task 4: Read 1a and complete the passage of 1d.
The teacher asks the students to read 1a and complete the passage. The teacher offers two or three minutes to the students to finish 1d.
Task 5: Role-reading
Four students in pairs and read 1a in different roles.
Step 2: Key points of 1a. Explain the key points of 1a.
Stage 5: Do the exercise.
Finish the exercises on their pads. Explain the one which they don’t do well. Stage6: Summary
The teacher sums up the key points of Section A.
Put the word cards like a sunflower. Smile to life like a sunflower.
Stage7: Homework.
