A. How did the judge solve the student’s problem
B. (The judge solved the problem) By making the restaurant owner hear the sound of the falling coins.
2) 用where/when提问, 要以介词in/ on/ at等开头
A. Where did the student live
B. In a small room near a restaurant
A When did Eppie Lederer begin to write an advice column for the Chicago Sun Times
B In 1955. (or: After she won a contest.)
When did you come to Shanghai
(1)在2012年→In 2012. (2)两年前→Two years ago.
When I was a boy.
3) 用how many提问,要注意数字前是否有限定词more than/ at least/about等。
A How many readers do the two columns have
B Nearly 200 million readers (around the world).
4) 用why提问,要以because(of) 开头回答, 或者以To do开头回答。
A Why did the student feel afraid
B Because the judge said he was wrong / he had only a few coins/ he had no money.
A. Why did Lederer ask her readers to write letters to The U.S. Congress
B. To make them pass the law.
A.Whom did Sam live with in the Wild Catskill Mountains
B. He lived with himself.
A.How long have you stayed in Shanghai B. For 3 years.
A. How long did it take you to go to school by bus B. 3 hours.
A. How was the food in the restaurant
B. The food was delicious/good.
Example 1. Both Eppie Lederer and Pauline Phillip love their jobs, don’t they
步骤:A.
Do both Eppei Lederer and Pauline Phillip love their jobs
Example 2 The student wasn’t happy living in the small room, was he
步骤:A.
The student was happy living in the small room.
Was the student happy living in the small room
Based on her speaking, how do we stay young, to laugh or to cry
We stay young to laugh.
A. As a teenager, will you run away from home Why
B Because this was just the kind of forest he always dreamed about.
Letter A
Young people are always told that they should make the most of their time, that they will never be as free again So,my question is-why fill up all this free time with housework?Parents expect their children to get good grades,be good at sports, and be popular with other kids.
However, there is not enough time in the day to do these things and then do housework as well. It's not fair to expect teenagers to give up their precious time to do boring housework.Parents and children both have jobs.Parents' jobs are in the work place.Their children's jobs are at school.
The only difference is that parents get paid and children don't.Parents say that they make their kids do housework to teach them responsibility. But this is just a trick.Parents trick their kids into doing housework because they are lazy.
Yours,
Overloaded
Letter B
Both parents and children have jobs. The parent's job is to go to work to earn money. The child's job is to go to school. But we all get hungry.Someone has to cook the meals and clean up afterward. We all wear clothes that get dirty.Someone has to wash them, iron them, and put them away.Children work from 9 until 4.Parents work from 8 until 6.Sure,after 4 o'clock, children have homework. But after 6,parents have homework too. They have to do the shopping,go to the bank, pay the bills, and help their kids with their own homework!
I think it's only fair that teenagers help out a bit at home. They might not like it,but it's good for
them.It teaches them how to look after themselves. This is really useful when (93) .

One day, an old dog lost his way while chasing rabbits. Soon, he noticed a lion in the distance running towards him with a hungry look in his eye.
Noticing some bones on the ground nearby, the dog quickly settled down (安定下来) to eat the bones with his back to the lion. Just as the lion was about to leap (跳跃), the old dog shouted out, “That was one delicious lion! I wonder if there are any more around here.” After hearing this, the young lion stopped and hurried to safety in the trees.
A squirrel who had been watching from a nearby tree knew the dog tricked (欺骗) the lion and decided to make use of this to get protection from the lion. Catching up with the lion, he explained what had happened and that he wanted to make a deal. The young lion was angry at being tricked and said, “Jump on my back and see what’s going to happen to that dog!”
The old dog saw the lion coming with the squirrel on his back. Instead of running, he sat down with his back to them, acting like he hadn’t seen them yet. When they got close enough to hear, the old dog said, “Where’s that squirrel I sent him off an hour ago to bring me another lion!” Again, the young lion stopped and hurried away.

As a teenager, you’re on your way to become an adult. It’s a time of important changes and questions.
A lot of these questions are about your identity and who you are. You’re an individual(个人), but you’re also a product of your family life, your social environment, and your culture. You may choose to spend more time with other people who have something in common. That’s natural.
Then there’s personality, or the qualities that make you different from other people. If you love parties and are interested in meeting lots of new people, you’re probably outgoing and confident. If you’re energetic or you like to take a risk, you might like hiking, or getting together with friends to travel to an unknown forest!
Personality is tricky(狡猾的). Friends think you have a great sense of humor, but your brother might think you’re not humorous. You may see yourself as confident because you’re sure to get what you want, but others may feel you’re unwilling to take advice. You may feel shy, while other people may think you’re unfriendly. You may think you’re fair, but you may still seem unkind to a friend.
Understanding yourself and how others see you can really be a question!
11.What are the main problems on the way to become an adult for teenagers
12.What kind of people may we choose to spend with
13.Is it right or wrong to say you are the only product of your family
14.Please give the title in English for Paragraph 4. (In no more than FIVE words.)
15.Why does the writer say personality is tricky

One day in ancient Greece, King Hiero asked a crown(皇冠)maker to make him a golden crown. When he first saw the crown, he was happy with it. It’s a nice crown, isn’t it ” he asked his men. But later, he began to doubt whether it was a real golden crown. The king sent the crown to Archimedes, a great scientist, because he wanted Archimedes to discover the truth.
“This problem seems difficult to solve. What should I do ” thought Archimedes. He was still thinking about it as he filled his bath(浴缸)with water. When he got into the bath, some water spilt (溢出)。 “ That’s it! ” shouted Archimedes. “I know how to solve the king’s problem!”
Archimedes went straight to the palace to see the king. In the palace, he told the king he had an idea. First, he weighed the crown and asked the king for some gold of the same weight as the crown. Next, he put two pots into two big bowls and filled both pots with water. Then, he put the gold into one pot, and some water ran into the bowl. Finally, he put the crown into the other pot. This time, even more water ran into the bowl. “Look at this, ”Archimedes said to the king. “The gold of the same weight as the crown made less water run into the bowl, but this crown made more water run into the bowl. So I’m sure that it’s not made completely of gold. ”

A woman was at the airport waiting for her flight to start boarding. She still had a lot of time, so she went to a shop and bought a book to read. While she was in the shop, she decided to buy a bag of cookies as well.
She arrived at her gate, sat down and started reading her book. She read her book so carefully that she didn’t notice what was going on around her. But she did see that a man had sat down next to her and taken one of her cookies out of the bag.
She pretended not to notice, as she didn’t want to make a scene But then the man took more. He kept eating the cookies until there was just one left. The man took the last cookie and broke it in half. He tapped the woman on the shoulder and held out one half to her.
The woman could not believe how much nerve (勇气) this man had to steal all of her cookies and then offer half a cookie in return. She angrily grabbed (夺) the half—cookie out of his hand and ate it without any words.
Finally, it was time for her to board. As she went to the gate, she reached into her purse. Suddenly, she realized that her bag of cookies was still in her purse. The man had eaten his own cookies the whole time and simply wanted to share the last one with her. The woman’s face turned red with shame. So she quickly caught up with him and said, “Please forgive me and thank you for your cookie.”

Tea-bag drinking is most Westerners’ favorite way of drinking tea. Do you know how it came about
The tea bag was invented in 1908 by Thomas Sullivan, an American tea seller. He was sending out free tea in silk bags for people to try, which made it taste better. People put the bags together with the tea leaves into the cup and added hot water. And after drinking, they just needed to throw the tea bag. So, they were not happy when Sullivan started sending them loose (散的) tea again.
Sullivan realized that he had a hot new thing in his hands, and he built a machine to pack the bags. As tea bags became popular, they were changed from silk to gauze(薄纱)and later paper. In 1952, Lipton Tea made the tea bag even more popular with its invention of the four-sided tea bag. Tea bags were soon a hit in the UK, and today 85 % of tea in the UK is packed in paper bags.
However, some people still prefer loose leaf tea. This is because some tea companies put not very good tea in their tea bags. But for most drinkers, tea bags are still their best choice.

In summer, it’s common on the street to see many Chinese women holding umbrellas to protect themselves from the sun. But when Amy, an exchange student in Beijing from the US, first saw this, she found it strange, even impossible to understand. She wrote on her blog(博客), “Unlike Chinese women, American women prefer to put on their tank tops (背心) and sunglasses during summer.”
This may be caused by the different standards of beauty between the US and China. Many Americans don’t want white skin. They would rather be tanned (晒黑). Amy also wrote, “Having darker skin is so popular that many women and men will pay for fake tans (假晒黑) so that they can keep their sun-kissed appearance during the winter months, too.”
Why do they like tanned skin Michelle Louis reported in her research, “The process of tanning can help make people’s skin smooth and hide marks.” She further explained, “Tans make people’s skin appear healthier and make them appear thinner than when they have pale skin.”
Perhaps there is no real ideal standard of beauty. In different cultures and at different times of history, the standards change. On Amy’s blog, she also gave two examples: Some women carried umbrellas around trying to keep their white skin in the US 150 years ago; During the Tang Dynasty in China, heavy women were thought beautiful. But now, Chinese women prefer to be thin.
In a word, different standards of beauty should be respected. People may grow up with only one idea of what beauty is, but it doesn’t mean that it’s necessarily the correct or the best idea.

Michael Morpurgo was born on 5th October, 1943 in the south of England. He and his brother were moved from London when the Second World War began. Michael went to two different boarding schools when he was growing up. He particularly enjoyed playing rugby and singing but he often felt homesick and missed home. After school, Michael joined the army but he did not enjoy being shouted at and so he left shortly afterwards. Michael then decided to go to university instead.
After graduating from university, Michael became a primary school teacher and taught in a small school in Kent. He loved teaching and his favourite thing to do was to read stories to his class. When he ran out of stories to read to them, Morpurgo started to write his own. His first book was written in 1974 and was called It Never Rains: Five Stories. Morpurgo has stated that the days he spent teaching are some of the happiest of his life.
Michael left teaching after ten years and bought a farm with his wife. Together they began a charity called Farms for City Children. This charity offers children who live in poorer, inner-cities the chance to come and stay on a working farm for a week. Children learn from hands-on experience about how to care for animals and how to work with others as part of a team. The charity is still running today, and thousands of children have been to stay at one of the three farms that the charity now owns.

When I was a litter girl, I was the center of attention. I had control of the soccer field and played football with the boys. I shared my thoughts in class discussions, never fearing I was wrong. I led my life happily. Judgment(评价)from others didn’t trouble me.
But finally, my family left for a new place. And I had to attend a new school. I felt as if I had lost my value; after all, what is a ruler without her lands Now, it’s a completely new life for me.
Over time, I started to care about what others thought of me. I stopped playing football and racing others. I never raised my hand in class or discussed with my classmates... The worry was: what if I was not perfect
A few months later, when I arrived home with tears(泪水)in my eyes, I saw a letter on my door. In the letter, I was described as a role model. I learned that someone who had clearly seen my pain and worry tried to comfort(安慰)me, I gave up my joy to create a perfect person.
The letter changed me a lot. I tried to be myself-not to pay much attention to being perfect again.

Enough Sleep Could Reduce Risk of Injury
A new study suggests that enough sleep is necessary and important for people.
The researchers found that people who got no more than four to five hours of sleep a night were easier to be hurt than those who slept eight hours or longer.
Compared to those who slept eight hours or more each night, people who slept less than seven hours were more likely to experience a musculoskeletal(骨骼) injury(伤害).
The risk climbed as the hours of sleep dropped, with a 53-percent greater injury risk at six hours of sleep. The study notes that getting enough rest could be a better way to reduce injury risk.
Dr. Hohui Wang is in the University of California, San Francisco. He said that getting too little sleep leads people to be more likely to get hurt. So getting extra sleep might help.
Most people are healthiest and perform their best with seven to nine hours of sleep a night, said Captain Jeffrey Osgood.
Osgood said, “The less we sleep, the worse we perform in everyday life.” So he offered suggestions for how people can get more – and better-quality(质量) – sleep.
“Please avoid coffee and exercise before sleeping; it’s a better way to keep your bedroom dark and quiet. What’s more, please keep your phone out of bed.

Yours,
Overloaded
Letter B

I think it's only fair that teenagers help out a bit at home. They might not like it,but it's good for

12.
根据第二段“You may choose to spend more time with other people who have something in common.” People who have something in common with us.

14.
Personality Is Trick.
15.
Because personality is hard to define/Because personality has many sides.
