1. Someone was advised to take a break from running by a teacher.某人被老师建议停止跑步休息一会儿。
advise 后接动词作宾语时，要用动名词，不用不定式；但若其后接的动词前有宾语，此动词用作宾语补足语时，则此动词要用不定式。即说 advise doing sth (建议做某事)或 advise sb to do sth (建议某人做某事)。take a break休息一下，休息一会儿。
2.She helped you to work out the answers yourself no matter how difficult they were.无论它们多难，她帮助你自己算出答案。
work out算出，解决，想出、制定出。no matter作“无论、不管”解，常与what、which、where、 how等连用。
3. Because of her, I put in more effort and my exam scores doubled.因为她，我更加努力，我的考试分数提高了一倍。
put in effort“花工夫 , 把力用在某件事情上”。double 动词，“使加倍、是……的两倍 ”；作形容词 “双重的；成双的；两倍的”；作名词“双倍、两倍”。
