1. 基本概念
过去进行时表示在过去某一时刻或一段时间内正在进行的动作。这一特定的过去时间除有上下文暗示以外, 一般用时间状语来表示。
2. 结构
was / were + 动词-ing
过去进行时的标志词有:at 8 o’clock
last night, this time yesterday 等。
过去进行时
肯定式：
I/He/She/It was working.
We/You/They/ were working.
否定式:
I/He/She/It was not working.
We/You/They/ were not working.
3. 句式(以work为例)
疑问式和简略回答:
Was I working
Yes, you were.
No, you were not.
Were you working
Yes, I was.
No, I was not.
Was he/she/it working
Yes, he/she/it was.
No, he/she/it was not.
Were we/you/they working
Yes, you/we/they were.

4. 使用进行时态的注意事项:
1) 一些动词,如see, hear, love, like, know, remember, understand, have等表示感情、知觉和状态的词,一般不用于进行时态。
2) 在there和here引起的句子中,常用一般
现在时代替现在进行时。
eg. Here comes the bus.
There goes the bell.
过去进行时
含义: 表示过去某个时刻正在进行的动作。
结构: was/were + doing
例句：
I was having an English class at this time yesterday.
现在进行时
含义: 表示现在正在进行的动作。
结构：
is/am/are + doing
例句：
I am having an English class.

过去进行时 一般过去时
基本用法 表示在过去的某一时刻或某一时间正在进行的动作。 过去某个时间发生过的动作或存在的状态。
结构形式 主语 + was/were + V-ing形式 主语 + 动词过去式
时间状语 at7yesterday, at that time, this time last night等;when与while 引导的时间状语从 句。 yesterday, last week, in 1993, once, before, a few days ago等。
友情提示 表示一个过去正在进行而可能尚未完成的动作。 表示过去已经完成的动作。
