①主句是现在的时态,从句的时态可根据实际情况而定。如:
I hear that she has written three letters to the headmaster.
Mr Green says that the snow was very heavy last month.

从句一定要用过去的某种时态。

注意:如果宾语从句表述的是客观真理、自然现象等时,不管主句是什么时态,
从句都要用一般现在时。如:

than sound.
if和when既能引导状语从句,又能引导宾语从句。因此,遇到它们就要认真分析一下,它们究竟属于“两副面孔”的哪一副。如:
If it rains tomorrow, I won’t come.

used to do sth. 意思是“过去常常
做某事”,表示过去经常做或一直做而现在不做,它只用于过去时态。
结构:
1. used to的肯定句结构
主语+used to+动词原形……
I used to go to the cinema, but I never
have time now.
我过去经常去看电影,但现在没有时间
了。
2. used to 的否定句结构
A) 主语+did not use to+动词原形……
B) 主语+used not to+动词原形……
第一种否定句型,就是把used当做实义动词来看,所以变否定句要用助动词did;
第二种否定句是把used当做情态动词,变否定句直接在used后面加not即可,used not可以缩写成usedn’t或usen’t。美式英语通常用A形式,英式英语常用B形式。
e.g.You didn’t use to drink.
你过去不喝酒。
The shop usedn’t to open on Sundays.
过去这家商店星期天不营业。
3. used to的一般疑问句结构
A) Did+主语+use to+动词原形……?
B) Used+主语+to+动词原形……?
美式英语通常用A形式,英式英语用B形式。
