What day is it today? —It’s Monday.
Write it in your book.
What day is it tomorrow?
What day is your favourite day?
My favourite day is Saturday.

1. By the end of the lesson, students should be able to understand the ask and answer in daily life of simple English.
2. By the end of the lesson, students should be able to use English to ask and answer correctly that what day is it today?

Step I. Revision/Lead in(10mins)
T: Morning, boys and girls! Welcome back to school and nice to see you again! How are you?
S: Fine, thank you! And you ?
T: I am fine, too. Thanks! I have prepare some gifts for those students who behave well in my class. I think all of you would like to get the gifts, right?
S: Yes, of course!
T: OK! Now I will give you a chance to get it. Let’s play a game then you’ll see whether you can get a gift or not. I will ask 8 students to take turns to play the game. Everyone of the 8 students should say a number from one to eight, then I will find out the thing with the number on it , and then you should answer my question “What colour is it?” “What’s this in English?”, if your answers are correct, you can own the thing .

Teacher introduces and explains some new words for students.

Step I. Revision/Lead in(10mins)
T: Morning, class! How are you?
S: Fine, thank you! And you?
T: I’m fine too, thanks. Before having our class, let’s play a game, are you ready?
S: Yes.
T: OK. The game is over. Would you tell me what day is it today? What day is it tomorrow? What day is your favourite day?

Step II. Presentation and Drills. (20mins)
Finish activity 3 read and match.
Firstly I will ask the students to finish it by themselves then I will check the answer with them while translating the sentences with the students by giving reminding. Finally I will ask the students to read the sentence once then play a game with students: when I say the Chinese meaning of one sentence of activity 3 and students should tell me what the English sentence is. And vice versa.
Finish activity 4 ask and answer.
Firstly I will ask one student to do activity 4 with me in order to make all the students know how to do activity 4.Then I will ask four pairs to do activity 4 ramdomly.
Finish activity 6 write.
Firstly I will ask the students to finish it by themselves then I will check the answer with them.
Finish activity 7 work in pairs, ask and answer.
Firstly I will ask one student to do activity 4 with me in order to make all the students know how to do activity 4.Then I will ask four pairs to do activity 4 ramdomly.

1.Finish activity 1 listen and repeat.
Ask the students to translate every word and then ask them to repeat the words, then play a game with students: when I say the Chinese meaning of one word in activity 1, they should answer the word immediately.
2. Finish activity 2 listen and repeat.Try to remind them to read the sentences correctly and ask them to translate every sentence by giving reminding. Then ask the whole class to read the sentence twice and when I say the Chinese meaning of one sentence of activity 2 and students should tell me what the English sentence is. And vice versa.
3. Finish activity 3 listen and point.
Try to remind them to read the sentences correctly and ask them to translate every sentence by giving reminding. Remind the students to finish activity 5 and ask them to translate every sentence. Then ask the whole class to read the sentence twice and when I say the Chinese meaning of one sentence of activity 5 and students should tell me what the English sentence is. And vice versa.
2. Finish activity 6.
Remind the students the pronounciation of the name of the cities in China. Then I will do activity 6 with one students in order to make all the students know how to do it, then I will ask 4 pairs to finish activity 6.
