Teaching Aims
Emotion aims
a) Enable ss to understand, speak and use the words “hat, skirt, pants, dress and clothes”.
b) Make ss use “I like that/ those...” correctly.
Ability aims
a) Develop ss’ ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing.
b) Train ss’ ability of using languages in the scene.
3. Knowledge aims
a) Make ss be interested in good co-operation, and care about others.
b) Make ss know how to deal with their old clothes which they don’t wear, and tell them they should give more love to others who really need our help.
Key Points
1.New words: hat, skirt, pants, and dress.
2. Target languages: I like that/ those...
Difficult Points
The word “pants” and “I like that/ those...” in the text are difficult to use for ss.

Step1. Warm-up
1. Greet
2. Let’s sing: Colour song
3. Lead in: Talk about the weather now.
Step2. Presentation
1. Teach ss the new words: dress, skirt, shirt, hat, pants and clothes.
Tell ss about “I like that/ those….”
Make ss choose the clothes who they like for teacher, and speak out the new words and sentences.
Do together with the students: Put on your shirt. Hang up your dress. Take off your hat. Wash your skirt. Put away your pants.
2. Ask ss to look at the pictures in the part of Let’s learn, talk about what have you seen. Play the video for ss, first make them know the idea about the talk, and then follow the speakers to read the new words and sentences.
Step3. Practice
Game time: “Where are the clothes ”
Each group choose one student to get the pictures, when the other students say: “ …, …, where are you ” The ss who have the pictures face to them, and say: “…, …, here I am.” Make all the ss master the words.
Look, choose, and say.
Look at the flash pictures, and choose the right answers. Make ss master the new word, and know the things in heart.
Let’s do
Listen to the video, and then act it out. Make ss grasp the words, and remember something about the new phrases we have learned easily.
Group work
Ask ss dress up the kids with the picture stickers, and choose the suitable clothes for them. Then talk about why you choose them for the kids, when they show their clothes, say the new sentence pattern correctly. Make ss grasp the structures and the target languages, and catch the key words more easily.
Step4. Consolidation
1. Summarize the usage of the main structure, help ss have deep impressions on what they have learned in this class. Ask ss to say what they have learnt this lesson.
2. Look at the pictures, and talk about what you can find out in the pictures. Enable them think about what we should do, when our clothes are smaller or older, and we can’t wear now. Help they know we should give our love to the poor children who are not good as us.
Step5. Homework
Design the clothes you like. And talk about the dialogues with your friends.
