2. Sing a song: “Where is the toy car ”
Step 2 Review
1. Review the words: desk, chair, in, on, under.
2. Review the sentence patterns: “—Where is… –It’s in/ on/ under… ”
Step 3 Presentation
A Let’s talk
1. Task 1: look at the pictures and say“What can you see in the pictures ”
2. Task 2: listen to the sound recording and answer the question “Where is Zhang Peng’s pencil box ”
3. Task 3: watch the flash and answer the question “Where is Zhang Peng’s pencil ”
4. Task 4: read the dialogue by yourself, underline the two sentences below and talk about their meanings.

Step 4 Practice
A let’s play
Two students are in a group. Student A takes one picture card to the first sentence on the blackboard and ask the question to student B. Student B takes two words cards to the second sentence and answer student A’s question.

Step 5 Extension and consolidation
Listen and do
Put your pencil on the desk.
Put your ruler in the desk.
Put your bag on the desk.
Put your pencil box under the desk.
Put your English book on the desk.
Put away your desk
T: Look at our desk. There are so many things on it. Is that good No, let’s put them away.
T:We should keep our desk tidy. Then we can find our stationery more easily.
Step 6 Homework
1. Listen to the tape and repeat the dialogue on page 38.
2. Role play the dialogue on page 38 with you partners.
3. Read the dialogue on page 38 to your parents.
