There are crule wars(残酷的战争), fighting and sadness in the world today,so it’s necessary to have a good humor(幽默) just to help us go through difficult times in our lives. Putting a smile on someone’s face when you know they are feeling depressed(沮丧) makes them feel good and warms their heart.
How would you feel if you could not joke with your wife, husband, child, co_worker, neighbour, close friend, or even just someone that you are standing in line with at the corner store I am always saying things that make others smile or laugh, even if I don’t know the person I’m joking with. My grandma always found humor in everything she did, even if it was the hardest job anyone could imagine.(想象) This not only relieves(缓解) stress in any situation(情况), but also is a common manner to speak to others that are around you.
I know of a few people that don’t have a funny bone(骨骼) in their bodies, as they say. Everyone around them could be rolling on the floor after hearing a great joke and they would sit there without the slightest smile on their faces. They don’t get the joke that makes others laugh. I am busting a gut while they just sit there, looking at me as if I were from outer space. How can people not get a really funny joke
Laughing is essential(基本的) to keep our stress levels under control. Without humor, we would find ourselves with a lot of psychological(心里的) problems, or on a lot of medication(药物) to keep ourselves from going crazy, There is too much sadness, which will bring little light into our lives.

Would she refuse my curiosity(好奇) directly or just keep silent, even with a look of disgust (厌恶)
After a struggle in my heart, I decided to encourage myself to grasp(抓住) the last minute. As I handed her the ice cream, I said, “Those tomatoes look delicious! What kind are they ”
She smiled and I thought she was about to start laughing, but instead she replied,“Here, have some!” Within seconds I had a handful of splendid purple tomatoes.“ Oh, no, you don’t need to give me any!” I said. Those tomatoes looked expensive.“Here have more,” she insisted, and I had six of the fattest, prettiest tomatoes I had ever seen. I weakly tried to protest(反抗): “Really, you didn’t have to give me any, but I appreciate it.”
The woman smiled again and said,“I hope you enjoy them. And to answer your question:It’s an heirloom breed(传家宝品种) that my mom used to plant. So they aren’t like the ones you get in grocery store.”
I thanked her again, and she sped off. She was like an adult version of the tooth fairy:(牙仙) I gave her ice cream and she gave me tomatoes.
