extension (n.) 分机；当我们把电话打到总机，要求转分机时使用此句型。
Just a moment, please. 意思是“请等一会儿”。

Hold on, please. / One minute, please. / Wait a moment, please. / Just a minute, please.

Ring up sb. 给某人打电话，ring up 属于动词和副词构成的词组，如果接人称代词必须位于ring up中间；如果是名词，位于ring up的中间或后边都可以。 如：Li Lei rings up his mother every day. ＝Li Lei rings his mother up every day. 李雷每天都给他的妈妈打电话。
Will you ring me up tomorrow? 你明天给我打电话好吗？

Call sb. / phone sb. / telephone sb. / give sb. a call / give sb. a phone 等等。另外还有：make a call 打个电话；call sb. back给某人回个电话。
Oh, can I leave a message? 喔，我能留个口信吗？
Leave a message (to sb.) 留言，留口信（给某人）
