代词是代替名词的一种词类，有人称代词、物主代词、指示代词、疑问代词等。
一、人称代词是表示“我”、“你”、“他（她、）”、“我们”、“你们”、“他（她、它）们”的词。

人称代词的主格一般在句中作主语，宾格在句中作动词宾语、介词宾语和表语。如：
I am a student.

＊第一人称代词I在任何时候都必须大写。
＊当有几个人称代词并列使用时，单数人称代词通常按“二三一”排列，复数人称代词通常按“一二三”排列。如：
You, he and I will go to the zoo next Friday.
We, you and they don't have a car.

1.形容词性物主代词一般在句中作定语，修饰名词。如：
His baseball is on the table.
2.名词性物主代词常用来避免与前面已提及的名词重复，相当于“形容词性物主代词＋名词”。如：
This book is hers. Mine is lost.

3.名词性物主代词可用在of后面，表示双重所有。如：
This is a book of mine.
三、指示代词是指表示“这个”、“那个”、“这些”、“那些”等指示概念的代词，分单数（this/that)和复数（these/ those)两种形式，可以在句中作主语、定语等。如：
This is Jane.
Those are my cousins.
That boy is my new friend.
＊this, these指代近处的人或事物；that, those指代远处的人或事物。
四、疑问代词who, what, which等用来构成特殊疑问句。
1.who用来指人。如：Who is the girl
2.what一般用来指物。如：What do you want
