【本单元题目】Visiting Canada
【本单元所需课时】大约5课时完成所有内容。
一、本单元教学目标 Teaching Goals:
1. 通过听,说,读,写四项内容,帮助学生复习六年级上册以及以前所学知识和相关内容,并着重强调be going to, will do和一般现在时的内容。
Through listening, speaking, reading and writing , the teacher helps students review the first volume of grade 6 and the knowledge they have learned before and related content, and emphasize the content of be going to, will do and simple present tense.
2. 让学生对加拿大和一些其他国家更为了解。通过提问题的方式,介绍国家的大致方位,首都和著名的事物。
Let students know more about Canada and some other countries. By asking questions, introduce the general location of the country, its capital and famous things.
教学流程 Teaching procedure.
A. Talk about some interesting things about some countries.
1. 复习热身活动 Warming-up
(1) 谈论世界上一些著名的国家。
Talk about some famous countries in the world.
(2) 通过播放幻灯片的方式,师生自由提问并且回答:

Tip: 教师要帮助学生复习有关于国家,将来时等重要的词汇主题和语法,并药根据学生的回答将所复现的造句和重要词汇逐一呈现在黑板上。The teacher will help the students review the important vocabulary topics and grammar about the country, future tense and so on, and then show the sentences and important words on the blackboard one by one according to the students' answers.
(3) 现在可以进行单词分类游戏,教师出示分别表示国家、著名事物、服装和天气的四张单词卡片,并引导学生尝试说出更多同类词汇。
The teacher guides the students to try to say more similar words.
2. 听前做好准备
(1) 请学生看A项的图片,并根据图片预测和阐述听力中可能出现的内容。教师可以用以下问题来引导学生看图:Where is Bill going on his vacation What is this country What is it famous for What should Bill wear Is it cold or warm in this country ...请学生根据图信息以及自己的判断初步回答相关问题。
Tip: 通过提供一些信息和语法句型提示,可以让学生更好做准备。给学生们一点思考时间。完成这些问题,注意要带动学生互动。要不断重复一些重要词汇,同时也要复习六年级以前所学的语法和词汇。By providing some information and hints on grammar patterns, students can be better prepared. Give the students some time to plete the questions in a way that encourages interaction. Repeat some important words, and also review the grammar and vocabulary learned before the sixth grade.
(2) 让同学们打开课本,根据课本和听力对应内容,再展开讨论。
Let's open the textbook and discuss with each other.
3. 在听力的过程中完成任务。
在听的时候,引导学生记笔记。记录一些关键信息。在听完之后要用中英文进行总结。必要的时候要进行角色互换练习(role-play)。
As students listen, let the students take notes. Take note of some key information. After listening, summarize in both Chinese and English.
4. 听后核对笔记。
Listen and check your notes.
(1) 请学生同桌之间核对笔记是否相似。
Please check the notes with your deskmates.
(2) 随机抽取学生回答听力部分内容。
Students are randomly selected to answer the listening part.
B. Practice speaking.
1. 引导学生谈论几个国家以及这几个国家著名的事物。
Ask the students to talk about several countries and the famous things in these countries.
2. 小组进行讨论,如何开展这个对话。
Make a groups discuss how to start the conversation.
Tip: 老师要帮助学生进行对话强化,针对对话的具体内容,进行句型,语法和词汇的讲解,让学生学会举一反三。The teacher should help the students to strengthen the dialogue by explaining the sentence patterns, grammar and vocabulary to the specific content of the dialogue.

Tip: 教师要全面调动学生的积极性,不要仅限于教材上的内容。多说几个国家,多加入几个话题,进行替换练习。Teachers should fully mobilize the enthusiasm of students, not limited to the content of textbooks. Say more countries, add more topics, and practice substitutions.
C. Practice reading and enhance it.
1. 读前:引导学生大致浏览一下阅读的内容,猜测一下文章中想表达的意思。
Look at the passage and guess the meaning of the passage.
2. 读中:完成任务
Complete the task
(1) 请学生进行仔细阅读,并且尝试翻译每段大概意思。
Please read carefully and try to translate the general meaning of each paragraph.
(2) 让学生分组进行每个阅读段落的朗读,鼓励学生大声朗读。
Read each passage in groups and encourage students to read aloud.
3. 读后:总结回顾
Summary
(1) 学生以小组为单位讨论和交流答案。
Students work in groups to discuss and exchange answers.
(2) 让学生围绕本篇章主题进入深入讨论,尝试复述内容。
Ask the students to have a deep discussion about the topic of the passage.
(3) 教师将阅读的详细笔记,总结出的重点,写到黑板上。
Teacher will read the detailed notes, summed up the key points, write on the blackboard.
D. Write an essay based on what students have learned today.

2. 写中活动
教师在黑板上写一些好词好句,引导学生参考这些词句完成自己的写作。注意写作的时候同桌之间不可以交头接耳。可以参考书中句型和词汇,但不可以照抄。
Teacher writes some good words and sentences on the blackboard. Be careful not to whisper to each other while writing. Students can refer to sentence patterns and vocabulary from books, but they can't copy them.
3.写后评价
(1) 教师引导学生进行自我批阅,自查一些重点的语法问题,比如三单,将来时。
The teacher guides the students to review and check some important grammar issues.
(2) 教师随机挑选几篇文章,将这几篇中的闪光点进行全班分享。
The teacher randomly selects several articles and share them with the whole class.
(3) 帮助有困难或者字数较少的学生强化写作,找出他/她在写作中所遇到的问题。
The teacher ought to help students with difficulty or fewer words to strengthen their writing.
(4) 请学生们自行比对自己文章和教材中文章的区别。
Ask the students to compare their own text with the text in the textbook.
(5) 教师建议所有学生展开大讨论,谈谈今天课上学习的收获。
The teacher suggests that all the students have a big discussion about what they have learned in class today.
