Unit 8 Dolls第二课时(Cartoon time &Rhyme time)
【教材简析】
本课的主题来源于生活,每个孩子们都有自己喜爱的娃娃,也都很感兴趣都有话可说,所以在对文本进行系统学习后需要教师跳出文本进行实际语用的操练,让学生大胆的开口说。Cartoon time中Bobby和Sam在科技展览馆看机器人,他们看到一个机器人会说话还会跳跃。Bobby和Sam觉得很神奇,但是认为机器人太矮。机器人于是按了身上的一个按钮,一下子个子就高了。本部分再现了本单元描述人物外貌的语言知识,也复现了第四单元中的句型I can...教师在教学中要重点复习本单元所学的内容,要引导学生体会其中的幽默。Rhyme time环节呈现了两个胖男孩在雨天见面的情景,教师可以借助手偶,创设情景,帮助学生理解歌谣大意。

【设计理念】
本节课的核心教学内容就是通过复习如何描述自己或他人娃娃的外貌特征进而掌握描述描述人物或物品特征的方法。通过任务型教学法让学生体会Cartoon time以及Rhyme time的乐趣,提高学生英语学习的兴趣。在教学中,通过师生间的说、唱、猜、演、玩等多种形式,循序渐进地引导学生由词到句,由句到篇地掌握所学知识,从而提高学生综合语言运用的能力。并贴近生活实际为学生创造情境,让学生在真实情境中学习,体验英语学习的作用和乐趣。
【设计思路】
本节课主要围绕介绍人或物的外貌特点展开。首先先对Story time内容进行复习及其拓展为Cartoon time和Rhyme time 做铺垫。通过The two boys are _______.这个问题自然过渡到Rhyme time中来,同时继续通过“What else can the boys do?”和“What else can the boys say?”这两个问题发散学生的思维并为学生接下来的改编小诗提供语料。进入Cartoon time环节时通过让学生观看机器人跳舞视频激发学生的兴趣并猜测文中这些机器人会做什么导入文本。这样环环相扣时刻抓住学生的思维。在理解文本过程中通过设计几个问题培养学生解决问题的能力与水平。但整节课不仅仅局限于对于文本的处理还要求学生对文本进行续编以培养学生的发散思维和提供学生一些口语表达的机会。最后通过绘本故事再渗透情感教育:不要以貌取人。
【教学过程】:
Step1 Warm up
Sing a song
Ask students to sing a song to review the new words they learned last class.
Brain storm
Ask students to say the words of body parts.
I can say the opposite words.
Ask students to read and say the opposite words.
Step2 Presentation
1 .Look and say
The teacher shows a boy doll and ask students to introduce, then introduce the girl doll.教师所给的文本提示由多到少,充分发挥学生学习的自主性。
2.Look and say
The teacher shows the picture of the two boys and asks the students to say :
They are ______.
Students say :They are fat/short/cute/lovely.
The teacher points at the rain and asks students what is it
Students answer :It’s rain.
The teacher says: So we say the two fat boys meet in the rain. Teach the new word : rain.
3. Watch and say
The teacher asks the students to watch the cartoon and find the answers of “What do they do ” and ” What do they say ”
Then the teacher asks what do they do. The students say :Bow and bow and bow again.
Then ask students guess the meaning of bow.
Next the teacher asks what do they say.
4.Let’s read
在读的过程提醒学生注意韵脚和节奏。
5.Let’s think
The teacher asks students “What else can they do ” and “What else can they say ”
为接下来小诗的编写提供语言材料。
6.I can make
The teacher makes a new rhyme for the students and ask the students to make a new rhyme by themselves or with their desk mates.
7.Look and say
The teacher says :Look at the picture and guess where do Bobby and Sam meet.
The student says: robot museum ,then teach 自助word of robot.
The teacher: What can the robots do
Then watch a short movie about robots.
8.Watch and answer
Students watch the cartoon and answer the questions:“Which robot do they talk about ”and“What can the robot do ”
Check the answers.
The teacher: What can the robot do
Students: Try to find the key pictures or key sentences.
The teacher: Is the robot short
Students: Try to find the key pictures or key sentences.
The teacher:Why does Bobby say “You are great but you are short.”
试着体会Bobby 此刻的心情。
The teacher:When the robot says “Look,now I am tall.”, what will Bobby and Sam say.
9. Listen and imitate 在模仿环节强调语音、语调、重读以及情感的表达。
10.I can read 三人为一小组,选择其中一个角色进行有感情地朗读课文。
11. I can act 学生以小组形式上台表演,教师进行民主式评价。
Step3 Consolidation
1.Make a new story
①The teacher reads his/ her new story for example, and ask students to make a new story by themselves or with their partner.
②The students show their stories.
2. Share a proverb
The teacher share the proverb of“The ugly duckling”and tell the students
from this proverb we should know “Don’t judge a book by its cover.”
Step4 Homework
Try to act the cartoon with your friends.
听读cartoon time的故事,与好朋友用正确的语音,语调进行表演。
Talk about your pets, dolls or family members. (at least 5 sentences)
至少用五句话来说一说自己的宠物,洋娃娃或家人。

【教后反思】:
整节课上下来比较顺畅,环节之间的过渡较为自然不生硬,学生的学习热很高,能够主动参与到课堂活动中来。整节课的教学活动以培养学生的发散思维、团队合作能力、解决问题的能力而开展,同时也考虑到了学生的现有知识水平,以示范、引导为辅,努力实现以学生为本,从学生的口语输出来看基本上达到了预期的教学目标。同时这节课还存在一定的不足之处,比如在最后一个环节的实施过程中没有给学生充足的时间进行准备、示范没有到位或者是提供给孩子的语用材料较少导致学生的思维只是停留在一些较为简单的表达上,可以让学生再跳一跳,更加具有创意性。
