自主学习定语从句
1概念:在复合句中,修饰某一名词或代词的从句叫做定语从句。被定语从句修饰的词叫做先行词,定语从句必须放在先行词之后。
例1:I like the dog that looks very beautiful.
先行词 引导词 定语从句
分析: 此句中looks very beautiful 修饰名词the dog, that 为定语从句的引导词(无意思),The dog 为先行词,因此looks very beautiful为句定语从句。
例2:Do you know the man who wears glasses?
此句中先行词为______,引导词为________,定语从句为____________,
2定语从句如何翻译:把定语从句放在先行词的前面翻译。
例1:I won’t forget the man who loves dogs.______________________(翻译)
例2:I don’t like people who talk much but do little. _______________(翻译)
3定用从句引导词的用法。
(1)引导词无意思,不翻译。
(2)常用的引导词有that , which, who, whom, whose, when, where
1. that多指物,也指人,在定语从句中作主语或宾语。
例如:Did you find the book that Jim lost .
Do you know the man that Jim is talking with?
2. which指物,在定语从中作主语或宾语。例如:
例如: Here is the book which the teacher mentioned(提起的)yesterday.
3. who 指人,在定语从句中作主语。例如:
例如:The person who broke(打破)the window must pay for it.
4. whom指人,在定语从句中作宾语。
例如:Do you know the young man (whom) we met at the gate(大门)?
5. whose 指人,在定语从句中作定语。例如:
例如: I know the boy whose father is a professor.(教授)
6. when 指时间,在定语从句中作状语。例如:
例如:I’ll never forget the time when we worked on the farm.
7. where 指地点,在定语从句中作状语。例如:
例如:This is the house where we lived last year.
