Period 1 Let’s talk & Let’s play教案
I. Teaching Aims:
To be able to know the new words: an orange, oranges, a pear, pears, an apple, apples, a banana, bananas.
To be able to master the sentence patterns: Do you like … Yes, I do. / No, I don’t.
II. Teaching important and difficult points:
To be able to use the target words: an orange, oranges, a pear, pears, an apple, apples, a banana, bananas correctly.
To be able to use the sentence patterns: Do you like … Yes, I do. / No, I don’t correctly in the daily life.
III. Teaching Aids: PPT, word cards.
IV. Teaching Procedures:
Step1. Greeting & Lead in
⑴. Greet to the whole class.
⑵. Enjoy an English song.
Step2. Presentation
⑴. Presentation of the target words: an apple, apples, an orange, oranges, a pear, pears, a banana, bananas.
⑵. Play some English games:
①. Show the target English words to the students, ask the students to say them out correctly.
②. What’s missing: Show some fruit’s picture, ask the students to say out the missing fruit in English.
⑶. Introduce the target sentence patterns: Do you like… Yes, I do. / No, I don’t.
⑷. By doing some relative practice to master the target sentence patterns.
⑸. Show the following dialogue patterns to the whole class, the students can choose one of the dialogue pattern and they will have several minutes to make their own dialogues with their partner, when time is up, some groups will be invited to the blackboard to present their dialogues.
①A: Do you like ____ ②A: Do you like____
B: Yes, I do. B: No, I don’t. I like ____.
A: Here you are.
B; Thanks!
⑹. Present the dialogue in Let’s talk.
①. Play the recording for the first time, the students just listen carefully.
②. Play the recording again, then learn the dialogue carefully.
③. Read the dialogue in many different ways.
Step3.Conciliation & Extension
⑴. By doing some practice to consolidate the target words and sentence patterns.
⑵. Introduce the old English saying: An apple a day keeps the doctor away, and encourage the students to eat some fruit and vegetables everyday to stay healthy!
Step4. Summary & Homework
In this period we’ve learned the target words: an apple, apples, an orange, oranges, a pear, pears, a banana, bananas and the target sentence patterns: Do you like… Yes, I do. / No, I don’t. Besides, we’ve also done some listening, reading, and some pair-work practice. Therefore, after class please interview your classmates to make a survey and then fill in the given form at the PPT as today’s homework.
Step5. Teaching Reflection
Emphasize the usage of singular words and plural words in English grammar, such as“an apple”“an orange”“a pear”“a banana”are singular words, but “apples”“oranges”“pears”“bananas”are plural words. Help the students to understand the differences between them, in order that they can use them correctly in the daily life.
