与其同宗兄弟灰狼相比，红狼(Red Wolf)慢慢进化得体形越来越小，身材越来越苗条。从晚更新世冰川期侥幸活下来的红狼，如今却无法逃脱现代人的魔掌。红狼曾经广泛分布于美国东南部。然而，由于人类对食肉动物的大肆捕杀，使得红狼的数量急剧减少；同时，随着红狼等食肉动物的数量减少，红狼也很难找到繁衍后代的配偶。它们不得不与北美大草原的小狼交配，因此纯种红狼的数量越来越少。现在，美国北卡罗来纳州东北部地区估计仍然生存着100多头野生红狼。此外，在美国，还有150多头红狼被圈养。

Animals Club。
I join Helping Animals Club because I think animals are our friends. However,
many of them are in danger bacause human beings are killing them now. It is important
for us to protect them.There are a lot of/lots of ways to protect them. For example, we can
eat less meat in our daily lives. We mustn’t kill wild animals and we should stop hunters
from killing them. In addition, we can also protect our environment and their homes. Last
but not least, we shouldn’t wear or buy clothes made of animals’ fur.
