How to make the students take the initiative to enlarge the vocabulary vocabulary;
How to arouse the students’ enthusiasm to take an active part in physical exercise.
Procedures
I. Lead-in
Show an advertising video about 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and guide the students to think about what they can do for this significant sports event.
II. Quiz
Show 16 questions and add more information about the Olympics properly. (The students should be divided into four groups to have a quiz. They can get 1 point for their own group every time they answer the question correctly.)
III. Word Relay
Show some pictures of Olympic events ,then perform the word relay. Of course they should abide by the rules and work out the score for each group.
IV. One Minute Lecture
Having mentioned several famous sports stars, Their team spirit and positive attitudes touched us a lot and think about “Which athlete impressed you most in the Olympics Why do you admire him/ her ”
Deliver a short speech named “My favourite Sports Star”. Also add 2 points to the speaker’s group. Sum up and show the result: They have good team spirit, a stronger character, mental strength and a positive attitude. They bring joy to our life. They are always challenging the limits of humans.

Part two: The Modern Olympic Games
