Unit 1 How tall are you A Let’s learn
一. 教学目标分析:
根据教材的内容和《英语课程标准》要求,我确定了以下教学目标:
A.知识目标:
1.能听、说、读、写 Let’s learn的四会单词:taller,
shorter,younger,older,longer ,shorter 。
2.能够灵活运用句型“How tall are you ”询问他人的身高以及“I’m ...metres.”表达身高。
3.能够灵活运用句型“You’re(old)er than me.”
“I’m (tall)er than you.” 进行年龄和身高的比较。
B.能力目标:
1.能根据图片及真实情境说出单词和句子,并学会用形容词的比较级来谈论自己和朋友。.如:“I’m taller than you, you are older than me.
2.学会用英文的长度单位来描述人身高,并能根据所给数据对两种事物进行比较。
3.能够听懂教师的指令,按不同的年龄、身高排队,并用所学语言进行表述。
 C.情感目标:
   1.学生通过在英语课堂上互动学习,感受语言的魅力,激发学习兴趣。
  2在使用句子的情境中接收新单词,改变单词教学的枯燥呆板。
四.教学重点、难点分析:
根据学生的实际情况,结合小学生的认知规律和心理特点,我将本课的重点、难点确定为:
1.重点:掌握形容词比较级:taller, shorter, younger,older,longer的构成形式,理解其意思,并能用含有比较级的句型替换关键词进行问答。
2.难点:能灵活使用比较级用语I am (tall)er than you . ,并能根据实际情况替换其关键词。掌握长度单位metres的发音。
五.教学过程设计
Step 1、Warm-up:
1.Let’s chant .师生对唱:
T:Tall, tall, tall, who is tall
Ss :Tall, tall, tall, I am tall.
T: Short, short, short, who is short
Ss :Short, short, short, I am short.
T:Young, young, young, who is young
Ss :Young, young, young, I am young.
T:Old, old, old, who is old
Ss :Old, old, old, I am old.
Step 2 .Presentation
  (1)课件出示刘翔的图片,并在图片旁边注明了身高,问:Who is he What’s he like .引导学生回答:He is Liu Xiang. He is tall. T:Yes,Liu Xiang is tall.(课件出示姚明的图片) Look at Yao Ming. What’s he like Ss:He is tall ,too..
T:Yes.He’s tall.(课件同时出现刘翔和姚明)问:Yao Ming or Liu Xiang, who is taller 引导学生回答:Yao Ming is taller than Liu Xiang. Liu Xiang is shorter than Yao Ming.(板书taller,领读单词和句子。)
Make a chant:taller,taller,taller,Yao Ming is taller than Liu Xiang.
T: Yao Ming is taller than Liu Xiang. 也可以说Liu Xiang is shorter than Yao Ming.(板书shorter,领读单词和句子。)
Make a chant:shorter,shorter,shorter, Liu Xiang is shorter than Yao Ming.
T:I have a ruler.Do you want to my height 引导学生问:How tall are you?板书并领读。T:I am 1.56 metres.解释metre及复数metres,带读I am 1.56 metres.
T:Who can compare height with me 找两位学生和老师比身高,教学I am (tall)er than you. You are(tall)er than me.
Ask and compare height with your partner. 让同学之间问一问比一比自己的身高。
(2)(课件呈现父子两人图片)T:look at this man and his dad,this man is younger,his dad is older.板书younger和older并领读单词。
PPT呈现T: I am 39 years old.How old are you
S: I am 13 years old.
T:I am older than you.You are younger than me.带读句子。
Make a chant: older,older,older,I am older than you,younger,younger younger,you are younger than me.
Ask and compare your age with your partner.和同伴问问比比年龄。
(3)教师拿出卷尺,一边拉一边说:Longer,longer,longer!慢慢放松卷尺,说shorter,shorter,shorter,板书longer,shorter
看课件,出示兔子和猴子的尾巴,引导学生观察后说:“My tail is shorter than yours. My tail is longer than yours.”
观察课件,出示一长一短两件T恤衫,学生观察后说:“This T-shirt is longer than that one. That T-shirt is shorter than this one.”
观察课件,(出示头发一长一短两个女孩),学生观察后说句子:
Lily’s hair is longer than Lucy’s. Lucy’s hair is shorter
than Lily’s.
观察这几个形容词的比较级形式,你发现了什么?引导学生总结:一般情况下,形容词的比较级形式的构成,直接在形容词后加er。
列举一些词带读,学生自读。
Step3 Practice Consolidation
(1)Game1 老师猜学生父母的年龄,如果猜错,要求学生用older或younger提示,直到教师答对。
(2)Listen and do.老师发指令,学生按要求排队。看哪队更快更好。T:Line up from taller/shorter to shorter/taller.
Line up from older/younger to younger/older.
(3)造句王:根据老师卡片上提供的家庭成员,进行年龄和身高的比较,用比较级造句。如:mother sister S:My mother is older than my sister.
(4)Let’s chant.
(5)Let’s sing a song.
