Ability aims: Students are able to talk about the farm. Students’ abilities of listening, speaking ,reading and writing will be developed. Emotions aims:They can comprehend the truth: No pains, no gains.
◎教学重点 1)Students can read,recognize and master these new words and sentences. 2)Students can master the nouns with the same form for singular and plural: sheep.
◎教学难点 How to help students use the new words and sentences correctly. How to help students talk about the farm by their own minds.

Step 1 Warm-up It will cost about 5 minutes. Introduce the farm and invite them to have a farm quest. (Teacher divides the whole class into 6 groups and offers a piece of empty land for each group. ) Enter the vegetable greenhouse and speak out these words about vegetables. Then write the name of each group by these vegetables. (They will get the vegetable when any one of them does good job and plant them in the empty field.) The game teaching method is used here. (利用农场大冒险游戏方式,进入第一站蔬菜大棚,复习所学的蔬菜和水果单词,帮助学生巩固旧知) Step 2 Presentation Let’s learn It will cost about 15 minutes. Invite students to enter a house of animals. And there are five doors in the house. T:Look at these doors.Which door will you open 2)Students will learn and read these new words about animals by opening the door. T:Listen and guess. Ss:Hens. (听音效,猜出具体动物,板书并新授“hens”发音) T:Look.What are these Ss:These are horses. (观看视频,引导学生表达,板书单词“horses”并教授单词发音) 3)Play the tape and try to read the new words. T:A cow.Two cows. (引导学生掌握单复数的变化,介绍单复数同形的sheep) Practice to read these key words. (进入第二站动物农舍,通过声音、图片、卡片多种方式对新知进行呈现与操练) Step 3 Practice It will cost about 5 minutes. 1)What are these Look at the part of the animals and try to guess by using the sentences: What are these These are sheep. 2)Feed these animals Get several students to match the animals to their foods. Step 4 Development It will cost about 10 minutes. Designing a new farm Enter the farmhouse and discuss their own farm in groups. Then invite someone to introduce the farm by using the sentences. S1:This is my farm.These are sheep. They’re so cute. Task-based teaching approach and the cooperative learning method are used here. (进入第三站农场主小屋,鼓励学生小组合作,大胆创新与表达) Step 5 Conclusion It will cost about 5 minutes. Guides the students to conclude the key words and announces the result of the competition.Then shares the magical seeds with them.And shows the truth:No pains,no gains.
