五、任务型阅读
Research suggests that at least 64%o of people now spend up to four hours daily of spare time in front of a screen. Just as TV watching has a close connection with a higher chance of being fat and getting diseases, this extra sedentary(久坐的) time is bad news for our health. Here are some ways to spend your spare time better.
Choose outdoor activities over technology
When you're at home, make it a rule that you can't be online if the sun is shining. Instead, you have to go for a walk, ride a bike, swim or do some other physical activities for at least an hour before you pull out your iphone or take a seat in front of the computer. This rule should be fit for everyone in your family.
Limit social media use
Social networks have changed computer and mobile phone use for people of all ages. Whether it's Fa-cebook. Twitter, Instagram or Snapchat, limit the time you spend on social media. Give your time online a purpose: research holidays or catch up on the news of the day. Then turn off the computer.
Save time for reading
Challenge yourself to read at least 30 pages of a great book before you check your computer or mobile phone. Pick the right reading material and you'll soon find you've discovered an enjoyable way to spend time.
Create projects for yourself
It's amazing how much you can achieve when you are not glued to(长时间盯着) a screen. Do a list of one-hour evening projects. Some suggestions are organizing the kitchen and cleaning your bedroom. Then try to do one each evening.

六.阅读理解
During Spring Festival, Chinese people celebrate it with family reunions and parties.
Yet today the parties are different than they used to be. People are not together in the same home, but instead gather together in cyberspace(网络空间).
We use the smart phone in office, at home, even on the road; we play with it while eating, drinking, even while bathing. We can now chat live with people tens of thousands of kilometers away. But we feel more distanced(疏远)from each other in the real world. The reason is that we have more choices now, we no longer have to pretend(假装)to be interested in someone standing before us, because we can just communicate with someone more interesting somewhere else.
However, the elderly in our society do not accept new technologies as fast as the younger generation(一代人)and they can not enjoy the convenience of new technologies in the same way. Very few seniors know how to use a smart phone,
They even don't access(接触)the internet much. According to a survey report of the internet in China, released by China Internet Network Information Center, there were 731 million internet users by the end of 2016, but only 4 percent of them were above the age of 60.
The elderly face the loneliness of being "left behind" by their children who work in cities far away. Spring Festival is almost the only chance for them to talk with the younger generation, yet smart phones deprive(剥夺)them of this opportunity.
The only way the younger and elder generations can meaningfully interact is if the former put down their smart phones during this Spring Festival holiday and talk with their older relatives face to face.
Today we are the digital pioneers, but we won't be in 30 years. It is our children that will master the latest technologies, and we will become slow to accept new things. If we hope our children will talk with us 30 years later, we need to set a good example for them now.
