Ⅰ. Presentation
T: Show some pictures of instruments like violin, drum, piano, violin. Then tell Ss I can play the drums, I can play the violin, I can play the violin…
Ss: Do after the teacher. Act as he/she are playing an instrument. Then say: I can play the piano, I can play the piano, I can play the drums…
II. Game (Talent show)
1. Act and show your classmates your talent.
T: Please stand in front of your classmate. Act and say what you can. e.g.
S1: (sing and dance) I can sing and dance.
S2: (play the drum) I can play the drum.
S3: …
2. Ask as many students as possible to say their abilities.
III. Listening
1. Tell the Ss that they will listen to some sounds of the instruments. Listen and number the words [1-4] in the order of the sounds you hear in 1a.

3. Work on 1c. Ask Ss to work in paris to talk about the instruments.
4. T: Now let's prpare for 1d. First, let one student read the words and phrases aloud.
Try to predict the words or phrases you may hear in the conversation.
5. Ss listen to the tape and circle the words and phrases they hear. Work on 1d.
