【辨析】join 与join in

tell sb. sth. = tell sth. to sb. 告诉某人某事
tell sb. (not) to do sth. 告诉某人(不要)做某事
story可数名词,意为“故事;小说”,其复数形式是stories。
what引导的特殊疑问句
Jane: Sounds good. But I like to draw, too.

意为“听起来不错。”,相当于“That sounds good.”或“Sounds great.”,常用于肯定或赞同对方提出的建议。

一、教学目标:
1. Teach Ss how to talk about abilities by using:

2. To make Ss talk about and choose a club for themselves by using

3. 该部分内容贴近学生的生活,谈论的话题是能力。通过互相询问或谈论自己或对方在某一方面的能力,可以培养学生的一种群体意识。
二、教学重难点
1. 教学重点:
1) 学习询问和谈论彼此的能力和特长;
2) 掌握一些弹奏乐器的表达方式。
2. 教学难点:
情态动词can的构成和使用。
三、教学过程
I. Warming up
Show Ss the pattern and pictures about sing, dance, play the guitar, draw, swim, play chess, speak English and Ask them to talk about it:

Yes, I do./ No, I don’t.
2. Ss look at the picture in 1a. Then read the words and phrases. Let them match the activities with the people.
Then Check the answers with the class together.
Ⅱ. Listening
1. T: Now let’s listen to the tape, find out the right conversation, and number them 1-3.
(播放lb部分的录音让学生听,引导学生根据所听到的内容,选出对话的顺序,完成1b部分的教学任务。)

Then, listen to the recording again, and circle the clubs you hear.
Check the answers with the class.

2. Read the conversation in 2d. Fill in the chart.

VII. Language points
1. Can you play the guitar
can “能够”,这里用来谈论人的能力。
否定形式:can’t = can not 不能够
can 是个情态动词,不能独立存在,必须与动词原形构成句子的谓语。
can 没有人称和数的变化。例如:
I can speak English well. 我的英语说的很溜。
Jack can swim, but I can’t. 杰克会游泳但我不会。
She can’t play chess. 她不会下棋 。
play 意为“玩,打;演奏(乐器)”
play 后跟体育运动时,不用冠词。如:play soccer 踢足球

play 后跟乐器时,要加定冠词 the。如:play the guitar 弹吉它

club 表示“俱乐部”或“社团”。

want to do … 想干什么
主语是第三人称单数时, want→wants;
变疑问句、否定句要借助助动词do或does。
e.g. He wants to play basketball.
他想去打篮球。

—你想踢足球吗?
—是的。/ 不想。
join v. 参加;加入,此处指加入社团或组织,成为其中的成员。例如:
e.g. join the army 参军

你很擅长讲故事。
be good at sth./doing sth. … 表示“擅长于 ……; 精通 ……”, 后面可接名词 或动词的ing形式。例如:
Mr Li is good at languages. He can speak eight languages.
李先生精通多种语言。他会说八种语言。
玛丽的弟弟擅长唱歌。
Mary’s brother is good at singing.
