一、教学目标:
1 语言目标:能运用过去时态描写过去发生的事情。
2 技能目标:能听懂有关过去发生事件,能简单描写过去发后的事件。
3 情感目标:能过学习本课,培养学生在困境中互帮互助的品质。
二、教学重难点:
1.学习并掌握下列单词:storm, wind, light, report, area, wood, window, match
2.理解并掌握以下句型:
1) What were you doing at eight last night I was taking a shower.
2) What was she doing at the time of the rainstorm She was doing her homework.
语法:过去进行时。
3.教学难点: when, while引导的时间状语从句中的过去时和过去进行时。
三、教学过程:
Step 1 lead-in
T:What are you doing now
S1:I am taking an English class.
......
由现在进行句型结构导出过去进行时的结构。
Yesterday, there was a rainstorm. Where were they when the rainstorm came
Here are some reports.
For example:
A: Where were you when the rainstorm came
B: I was studying in the library.
A: What were you doing when the rainstorm came
B: I was talking with my mother in my house.
A: What were you doing when the rainstorm came
B: I was waiting for the bus at the bus stop.
Step 2 总结过去进行时的结构组成
1. 过去进行时由“主语+was/were +doing”构成。
e.g. We were having supper when it was rainy.
2. 过去进行时的否定式由“主语+was/were not +v.ing”构成。
3. 过去进行时的疑问式由“was/were +主语+ v.ing”组成。
e.g. Were you playing basketball at four yesterday afternoon
4.有关过去进行时结构的练习。(见课件)
Step 3 1a Where were the people at the time of the rainstorm
Match the statements with the people in the picture.
1b Listening:What were they doing when the rainstorm came Let’s listen. Pay attention to “was/were +doing”
Step 4 Speaking
Look at the pictures and answer the questions by using “was/were + doing”
Pair work: 1c Talk about what the people in 1a were doing
Step 5 Speaking
Make a survey. Ask your partners in your group what they were doing at a certain time .
四、 Homework
1.总结过去进行时的否定句、一般疑问句及简略答语。
2.复习一般过去时,举出5个一般过去时的例子;复习过去进行时,举出5个过去进行时的例子;比较一般过去时和过去进行时的用法。
3.预习新单词(P35-36)
