(2) Students will be able to master some sentence patterns.

(1) Students will be able to know how to ask about and describe a person’s looks.
(2) Students will be able to recognize a person through the description of him/her.
(3) To improve students’ listening and speaking skills.

(1) Students will be aware of the fact that everyone is special and unique in this world.
(2) Students will learn to treat one’s looks objectively.
(3) Students will learn not to judge others by their looks.

Teaching Procedure:
Step 1 Greetings.
Step 2 Leading-in
Make a guessing game to make students learn the new words and phrases.
Step 3 Presentation (1a)
1. Match the words with the people in the picture.You can use some letters more than once.
2. Let students classify the words in 1a into three groups: height, build and hair.
Step 4 Listening (1b)
Listen to the dialogue of 1b and fill in the blanks.
Listen to 1b again and try to find the sentence pattern for asking people’s appearance and the sentences for describing people.
Step 5 Practice (1c)
1. Practice the conversation with the given pictures.
2. Game Play
(1) One student stands in the front of the classroom, and the other students describe him/ her.
(2) One student describes his/ her best friend and the others guess who he/ she is.
