Unit 2Unit1 That man is short.
一、教学目标
(一)知识目标
1.能够听懂、会说并认读:fat, thin, tall, short, big, small等形容词。
2. 听懂、理解活动2中的会话大意,并能正确朗读。
3. 认读并正确书写字母A,B,C,D
(二)能力目标
1.能够使用句型This/That…is fat/tall/…描述人或物的外貌特征。
2.在活动中教学,让学生在做中学,学中玩。
(三)情感态度和价值观
1.乐于感知并积极尝试使用英语,提高学生英语口语水平和运用英语的能力。
2.培养学生爱护小动物的美好品质。
二、教学重、难点
1.学习并掌握单词:tall, short, big, small, fat, thin, big and fat.
2.掌握句型: This/That … is tall/ short/ big/ small.
3.在特定语境中正确熟练运用句型This/That…is tall/ short/ big/ small.
三、课前准备
单词句型磁条,希沃5课件,动物园评价表。
四、教学过程
Step1.Warming up and Revision
1. Greetings. 老师用简单和学生打招呼。
2. Look and say.
T:What are they

Step2.Presentation
Part one:
1.Lead-in.
T:Sam and Daming met a funny guy on the street.
Watch and think: Is he tall or short
2.Let’s learn new words:man, fat, thin, tall, short, big, small. 板书出示课题
Find out the antonyms and read. 根据每组图片中事物的对比,叫学生找出形容词,然后集体读一读。
3. Listen, point and say.
A.观察图片: Why is the man so tall 引出本课话题。
B.带着问题来看课文听录音模仿语音语调。
C.Let’s act.
T:Why is the man so tall T and S s:Because he is on the stilts. It’s a stilts
show for the Lantern Festival.(传播中华传统文化)
Part2.Learn the text.
T: Why are Daming and Sam so happy

A.听录音模仿语音语调。
Step3.Practice
1. Look and say.
看这几个形容词并读一读,然后根据图片描述,如:This panda is fat.学生先观察第二,三幅图指出的是哪个动物,并请几位学生描述特征。
2. Work in group and show in class.
四人一组,准备展示内容:
A.Dub,role play,read together.
B. Make animals card and talk about them.Work in group then show in class.
3.Let’s sing
4. Listen, repeat and trace the letters.
听录音跟读字母即单词,在练习纸上摹写字母AA, Bb, Cc, Dd.掌握字母的书写顺序。
5. Let’s show.
用展台展示学生的字母书写作品,评出写的标准优美的组。
