Part A Let’s learn& Let’s play教案
Ⅰ Analysis of teaching material.
Many topics in this book(PEP English) are related to our daily life. That is helpful for children to learn English. Grade 4 is an important stage of English learning, so it stresses on the emotion of the Students, creates a well beginning for the students.
The topic of this unit is “My clothes” and it is also related to our daily life. There are 3 big parts in this unit. We’ll learn let’s learn in Part A mainly. And they will master five related words and two useful sentences after the lesson. As we all know, words and phrases are basic in English learning. It’s very important to learn this lesson well. If the Ss can learn it well, it will be helpful to make the students learn the rest of this unit.
Ⅱ Analysis of students.
Students of their age are very active and curious, interested in new things. They also have strong thirst for knowledge and like to be challenged. So, during my class, I’ll crate some interesting games to spur them to take part in and learn something. They will also be more interested after class.
Ⅲ Teaching Methods and Teaching Aids.
To meet different teaching goals, I will apply different teaching methods and adopt some related teaching activities in this lesson, to make the students the centre of the class and have a better understanding of my teaching aims. The teaching methods are as follows:
1. TPR teaching method, including activities like chanting etc.
2. Cooperative Learning Method, including activities like discussing and presentation.
3.Visual Teaching Method, including photos-showing and videos.
4. Communicative Teaching Method, including question-and-answering, group discussing..
5. CAI(Computer-Assisted-Instruction)
Using these teaching methods allows students to be active and fully mobilize the enthusiasm of their learning.
Ⅳ Teaching Objectives:
Knowledge aims:
1.Students can understand and say the words of clothes: dress, shirt, hat, skirt, pants;
2.Students can understand the sentences : I like that... I like those...
Ability aims:
1. Develop students’ ability of listening and speaking;
2.Students be able to use the sentence patterns of “ I like that/those...”in their daily life.
Emotional aims:
Cultivate students’ ability of sorting out things by themselves.
Teaching key points
1.Students can say the words of clothes in a right way.
2.Students can understand the true meaning of the key sentences.
Teaching difficult points
1.Students can know the difference between “this” and “that”, “these” and “those”
2.Students can use the key sentences to express their feelings.
Teaching methods:
1.TPR teaching method, including activities like chanting etc.

Ⅶ Teaching procedure.
1.Warm-up.
Greet to each other using “ How are you ”;
Sing “Colour songs” together.
(Teaching design:Free talk can get the students into an English speaking state quickly. Singing a song can make Ss feel relaxed and get ready for the class.)
2.Lead-in
Talk about what we sing in the song ,and lead the title “My clothes” out according to students’ answers.
(Teaching design: lead in the title in a smooth way and make a natural transition to the rest of what we will learn later.)
3.Presentation.
(1)Teach “dress”
Play a game of colors: I hold the colors cards behind my back, and when the cards are shown students will say them out as quickly as they can;
(2)Make a scene, and teach “shirt”, “hat”, “skirt”.
Teacher describe that Snow White is also wearing a beautiful dress, and today is her birthday party, and she is going to her party, so she need to change her clothes,and let’s see her clothes together.
a. Teach “shirt”.
Free talk: Talk about what they can see in the wardrobe.In this way,students guess the word “shirt”according to the tips.
b. Teach “hat”.
Set a situation and watch a short view: Snow White is on her way to the party now,but she is crying , why Through this way let students watch the video and“skirt” get the answer after watching it.
c. Teach “skirt”.and “ I like that green skirt”
Look and say: Students continue to see the wardrobe, and help teacher recall what is missing.In this way, “skirt” will be taught, then introduce I have a green skirt ,and I like this green skirt, at the same time , ask them if they like Snow White’s that skirt, through it students will learn how to say “I like that green skirt.”
(3)Teach “pants”and “I like those pants”
Look and guess: I will draw pants on the blackboard, and students will guess what they are. Students will learn “pants” in the process,after that ,I will color my pants and go on asking “ Do you like these yellow pants ”, meanwhile a new sentence “ I like those pants” will be introduced .
(Teaching design:Making a scene can arouse students interest in learning English, and watching videos will make a deep impression of the new words).
4 Practice:
1.Let’s do together .
Students will do these actions with me together:
Hang up your dress!
Put on your shirt!
Take off your hat!
Wash your skirt!
Put away your pants!
Play a game: I say, you do.
I will give some orders such as “Hang up your dress!” “Take off your hat!”,and students will do the corresponding actions.
.Play another game: I do , you guess.
This time I will do some actions such as “Wash your skirt!”
“Put away your pants!”, and students will say them out as quickly as they can.
(Teaching design: TPR and guessing games can make students focus on knowledge constantly.)
Game about words : “ Find the bad apple.”
Teacher describe that Snow White is at party, but she is dangerous because her stepmother want to kill her, then invite students to help her find the bad apple. Students who find them will be praised in different ways.
5. Consolidation and extension
A funny game : Get gifts from Snow White
Teacher describe that we can go to Snow White’s castle and choose the clothes, and the code is that we should say the sentences out. For example: When I say “ I like that yellow skirt.” out, the skirt is in my hand. At last, the clothes cards will be theirs as gifts.
