一.Teaching aims
一)Knowledge aims
Ss can listen,speak,read and write the new words:tomato, cucumber, potato, onion, carrot and their plural forms.
Ss can master the sentence pattern “Look at the green beans . They are so long! The potatoes are big. ”and do simple ask and answer.
Ability aims
Ss can use the sentence to talk about the sentence pattern in real situation.
Ss’s ability of listening and speaking can be stimulated through a series of activities.
Emotional aims.
Ss can realise the importance of food and value them.
Ss team work spirit can be cultivated.
四)Key points
How to help ss master the use of “Look at the green beans. They are so long.”in daily life.
Ss are able to talk about their favourite food freely.

(一) 热身(Warm up)
Let’s sing
The teacher play a song“Vegetable songs”
(二)新课呈现(Presentation)
呈现环节:
Play a game
Let’s guess:It is red and round. It is sour and sweet.(引导学生猜出 西红柿)
Show actual objects of the green beans. Ask the ss to describe them by using adjectives.
Show a picture of a potato. Let the ss to describe it.
It is long and orange. Rabbits like eating it.(引导学生说出 胡萝卜)
Read the words in pairs,groups, or one by one.(可以运用高低音,升降调带学生读单词)
(2)呈现句型:
教师可以利用实物,为学生创设情境,进行描述蔬菜
如:拿出四季豆,教师说:Look at the green beans.引导学生说:They’re so long.
第一步:以单数形式呈现 potato
第二步:以复数形式呈现 potatoes ,让学生观察单复数变化形式的不同,解决本课难点
第三步:教师示范描述这两样蔬菜
土豆:They are big. They are tasty and brown.
以同样的方式引出tomato,以及复数形式tomatoes.
(三).Practice:
单词操练:
Activity 1 Play a game “What’s missing”
句型操练:
Activity 2 Read the sentence group by group. Ask the ss to make a dialogue based on the sentence pattern.
a 学生将自己所带的蔬菜拿出来,向好朋友介绍它们的颜色、特征
b 利用B部分的韵文巩固句型
(四). Consolidation:
Students are divided into six groups. Try to guess what their partners’ favourite vegetable. Then each group choose a representative to describe the vegetable and ask the other groups to guess.
四Summary: Students will summarize what they have learned today by themselves and teacher makes supplement timely, at last the teacher stresses the importance of food and teamwork spirit.
Homework
Copy the new words of “Let’s learn”.
Introduce some kinds of vegetables to your partner.
