be动词的
过去式
was用于主语是单数第一人称或单数第三人称。如 I, she, he, Tom等。
were用于主语是第二人称或复数形式。如 we, you, they等。
例句：
1.Jack was in New York last month.
杰克上个月在纽约。
2.We were at school yesterday morning.
昨天早上我们在学校。
Where were you yesterday
昨天你在哪里？
I was sick. I was in bed at home.
我生病了。我在家卧床休息。
用一般过去时的特殊疑问句询问某人在哪里
例：
—Where was your mother last week
—She was at my grandparents' home.
结构：Where+was/were+主语+其他
回答：主语+was/were+其他.
示例：—Where were you yesterday —I was at home.

动词过去式的变化规则
（1）一般情况下直接在词尾加-ed，如： call—called。
（2）以不发音的字母e结尾的动词，加-d，如： live—lived。
（3）以“辅音字母+y”结尾的动词，变y为i再加-ed，如： study—studied。
动词过去式的变化规则
（4）以重读闭音节结尾，且末尾只有一个辅音字母的动词，
双写末尾的辅音字母再加-ed，如：stop—stopped。
（5）有些动词的过去式是不规则变化的，如：come—came，
go—went，take—took等。
