Teaching aims
1. Ss get more familiar with the sentence patterns: Where are you Under the… In the …
2. Ss will be able to understand the word: table/bed and the sentences: let’s play hide and seek. Are you ready I can’t find you. I’m behind you!
3. Ss will be able to understand the story and read it fluently.
4. Ss will be able to act out the story.
Students’ condition
Grade 3 students usually are between age of 9 to 10, they are usually playful but with little English-learning experience. they are not fluent in English, some even don't dare to speak. it's quintessential to appreciate their progress and develop their interest in learning English by encouraging them to speak confidently, practice actively and sing loudly.
Teaching important points
1. Ss will be able to get more familiar with the sentence patterns:
Where are you Under the… In the …
2. Ss will be able to understand and read the story.
Teaching difficult points
Ss may have difficulty in understanding the sentence: let’s play hide and seek.

Step I:Warm up & Revision
1.Teacher's activities:
Enjoy the song: Where is Mr Monkey
Students' activities:Ss: Enjoy the song.
Purposes:歌曲热身,营造气氛,回顾旧知。
2.Teacher's activities:
Play a game:
T: Where is the book
Students' activities:Ss: It’s a/an….
Purposes:老师变化球的位置,学生猜,激发学生兴趣,复习in,on,under。
Step II:Presentation & Practice
1.Teacher's activities :
Present Zip’s room.
T:Where is the dog /duck/cat
Students' activities:Ss:It's in /on under the bed/table….
Purposes:1.描述房间里面的摆设,为下文猜做铺垫。在这里还特别强调了table和desk的区别。

Zip:Ha ha !I'm behind the door!
