T: If you want to express what is happening,, we can use a new tense ,it’s called Present Continuous tense(现在进行时)。
T: What’s the usage of the Present Continuous tense?
S1: 现在进行时表示现在或现阶段正在进行的动作或状态。
T: And what about the structure?
S2: Be+doing.
T: The form of doing ,we call it “present participle(现在分词)”。
T: There are some examples on the screen. Can you find out the rules of changing present participles?

(Ask the Ss to summarize the rules and give the Ss several minutes to recite them, and then ask one to give a report.)
T: Now let,s have more practise :What are they doing at the party?
Simon is playing the piano. Daniel is eating. We are chatting with our friends. Show them some more pictures .Talk about their activities,using the Present Continous Tense .Read the passage ,contain the Present Continous Tense. Correct them. Open your books and complete exercise one.Check and read them.
T: In the party, I have a student, Tom. He studies hard every day. Look at the picture. What’s he doing now?
S1: He is doing homework.
T: Is he doing homework now?
Ss: Yes, he is./No, he isn’t.
(Summarize special questions, general questions and answers.)
T: OK. I’ll show you other pictures and ask some Ss to talk about them using the structure we have learned,”What is he/she doing?”
(The Ss should work in pairs to talk about the prensent continous tense according to the pictures.)
Then talk about what your classmates are doing in the party.
(Fly their imaginations.)
T: I have some friends who didn’t attend the party, now listen to the tape and find out what they are doing.
(Play the recording for the Ss to listen. Play again. Ss listen and write the number of the activity each person is doing. Check the answers.)
T: Take your test paper and complete exercise two , make sentences according to the pictures.
(After finishing them, the teacher will check the answers.)
T: We have done many activities during the party, maybe you’re a little tired, now let’s do a guessing game to relax yourself.
(Ask Ss to do some actions in the front of the classroom and then the others guess what they are doing. For example, “Are you singing?” “Are you dancing?” If their answers are right, they will have the chances to show.)
Summarize the concept of Present progressive tense, the rules of changing present participle and sentence patterns. Meanwhile show the chant in the paper.

直接、双写、去掉e , 分词构成须仔细;

2. To learn how to obtain and consolidate information from listening.
Teaching procedures:
Step 1 Lead in
1. Brain storm: Let students to say the names of clothes they know.
2. Free talk: Talk about the clothes I am wearing today. Ask one of the students to the front,make students say his/her clothes out.And then ask students to talk about their clothes and their partners’ clothes.
Step 2 General listening
1. Predict: Before listening, get familiar with the clothes. Ask students to predicate what Sandy and her mum are going to wear.The teacher will say: Here are some clothes.Can you guess what are for Sandy,and what are for Sandy’s mother?
2. Listen to the conversation for the first time, and ask one student to do Part A1 on the board.
3. Listen to the conversation again, and ask another student to do Part A2 on the board.
Then check the answers.
Step 3 Further listening
1. Ask students to listen to the conversation with the following questions
1)?? What is Sandy going to do?
2)?? What is Sandy’s mum going to do?
2. Ask students to listen to the first part of the tape carefully, and pay attention to the question: What is Sandy going to wear? Are these clothes suitable for the trip?
3. Listen to the second part of the tape carefully, and pay attention to the question: What is Sandy’s mum going to wear? Are they suitable for the dinner party?
4. Work in pairs: ask students to retell.

1. Ask two students to complete the diary.
2. Read the diary by themselves and answer the following questions:

I′ll ask: what is he wearing?
Get the students to say: He is wearing a shirt.
I will ask what is his shirt made of?
Get the students to answer: It is made of silk.It is a silk shirt.
Then I′ll ask:Is it comfortable? Explain comfortable.(giving a good feeling. For example: The shoes are comfortable to wear.)
Get the students to answer: Yes,it is.
Then give more examples to practice the words and expressions and write down the new words on the blackboard, such as: scarf. jeans. trainers. boot. wool. cotton. purple.
Then I’ll let the students read the new words after me,
Step 3: presentation
1, I will say :The class 1, Grade 7 students are also having a fashion show.
Would you like to learn about their show? OK, Let′s read Millie′s
Speech silently, and answer this question, what will the students show?
2.After that I’ll play the tape for the students to read after the tape and finish doing B1 and check the answer with the students.
3.Get the students read the text silently and finish off B2 and correct the false statements.

Revise “comfortable” again.

Step 1 Greetings
Good afternoon, everyone. Now let’s begin our lesson. This lesson we are going to study the Study skills in Unit 8.
Step 2 Presentation
1, There is a card. Look at the card. Read this word, please.
Ok, very good, pay attention to the vowel /e/, now please read it again. Next, let’s look at these words: go, bed, bad, name, food, desk, meat.
Read them together twice.
2, Now look at the two cards: num / ber. Look at this, it’s number. Read after me.
Who can tell me how many syllables are there in it?
Yes, there are two.
Let’s look at some other cards: packet, lemon, carrot, picnic, Monday, enjoy, clever.
3, Look at the cards: sep/tem/ber, read it out loudly, please.
Who can tell me, how many syllables are there in it?
Some other cards: hamburger, volleyball, basketball, November, December.
Now let’s think it about, how to divide the syllables in the words?

Step one: Warm-up
1. Introduce the topic with the pictures and fashion labels,put the pictures on the blackboard. Then teacher says: boys and girls, today I will be a shopkeeper. This is my clothes shop. I have many clothes in my shop, I would like to welcome you to my shop and have a look at my clothes. You can buy the clothes you like. Believe me. My clothes are all in the latest fashion and they are also cheaper.
2. Let the students choose the clothes they like and talk with them
T: Which one would you like?
S: I’d like this one.
T: It is called blouse. It is a yellow blouse.
3. Help students revise the names of clothing and present the new words.
Step two: Presentation
1. Ask students: “What are you wearing today?” Let the students answer and present Part A. Ask and answer with the students, like this:
T: What is the boy /girl wearing?
S: He/She is wearing…
T: What colour is it/are they?
S:It is/They are pink.
2. Ask students to put the following words in the correct boxes and check it out together.
Step three: Presentation
The teacher comes beside a student and says: I think you look beautiful in this coat . What size is your coat?(The student answers:Size M) I like your coat very much. But I’m afraid it is too small for me. Maybe my daughter can wear it. Can you lend it to me? Teach the new word ‘lend’.
2. Now Mille is asking her mother to lend her some clothes for the fashion show .Listen to the conversation between Mille and her mum and answer the question:
