On 5th January
No electricity, roads covered in ice.
People had to stay at home and burn wood to keep warm.
By the third day
branches and whole trees fell down; more power lines fell down; the roads dangerous.

After six days
the whole area was dangerous; ice fell from the roofs of buildings and trees; power lines were badly damaged.
Some people had no electricity for a whole month. Homes were damaged. People lost their businesses.

The huge amount of ice -> the whole area very dangerous.
