The Importance of Learning English

English plays an important part in our lives. It is widely used by world's airlines and international business. Many people communicate in English on the Internet. When you travel abroad, English is also helpful.

The Changes in My Hometown

In the past, we lived in small and low houses. Our living conditions were very hard. We studied in an old school. We kept in touch with our friends only by letter. With the development of China's economy(经济), now we live in tall buildings and live a comfortable life. We can study in a modern school and get a good education. We can use computers and cellphones to communicate with our friends far away.
Thanks to the government, Quanzhou has made much progress. I believe our lives will become better and better.
