1) Xi’an—the Walled City
Welcome to Xi’an—the Walled City.
You can walk along the wall in the Walled City. It is about 12 kilometres long and over 600 years old. You can climb up the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. It is over 1 300 years old.
You can hit the ancient drum in the Drum Tower. You can also ring the ancient bell in the Bell Tower.

Tour Guide：Welcome to the Terra Cotta Warriors. We call them Bing Ma Yong in Chinese. This is an ancient place. Let's go to the first pit!

Why did people build the Drum Tower and the Bell Tower What is special about the Wild Goose Pagoda Search the Internet and find out more about these and other places in Xi’an.
The Drum Tower stands 500 metres to the northwest of the Bell Tower. There used to be a huge drum in the tower，which was used to tell the time at dark，and that is how the tower got its present name. Besides marking the time，the drum was also used to give warnings to people in times of war.

As the symbol of Xi’an，the Wild Goose Pagoda is a well- preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists.
A watch tower and Huaqing Pool are in Xi’an，too.
