五、Teaching Procedures
Step1. Lead-in
The teacher greets the students, show students some daily pictures in the yard sales and ten ask the following questions.
T: Do you know where is it
And what are they doing
T: Yes,and do you have some old things at home
T: And how long have you had them
T: Do you want to deal with them
T: OK, today, we will learn more about how to deal with our old things.
Now let’s look at 1a in textbook.
Step 2. Work on 1a
Show the picture in 1a. Students work together in pairs to talk about it by using the following sentences.
--How long have you had this toy bear
--I’ve had it for 4 years!
--How long have you had those books
--I’ve had them for 3 years!
Step 3. Listening 1b
Learn the new words and expressions in this class.
Help the students to read the difficult words and expressions in 2b correctly.
Ask whole class to read the sentences in 1b.
Listen to the tape and answer:
What’s the relationship between Amy and Jeff
What things did Amy ask about
5.Listen 1b again, then let the students to read the the answers they hear in 1b.
Step 4. Listening 2a, 2b
1. Get students to read the words in 2a.
2. Use the words and expressions to make conversations.

3.Listen to the recording in 2a and then ask one student to check the answers. Whole class are to be the judges.

七、Teaching Reflection
I should do more to encourage the students who do not speak English. Some students may lose heart when they can not answer the teachers’ questions correctly. And sometimes the words from the teachers will make the students sad when they get the answers of the questions in time. From now on, I will let the students sit down with smile when they make mistakes in answering the questions, then help them deal the questions politely. Finally, encourage students to speak more English
