This unit introduces poems to the students. The main passage consists of two poems about dull and exciting moments in our lives.
The listening section features a poem about a typhoon, students need to correct mistakes in a poem.
In the language section, students have to learn how to use who and whose to talk about family members, the use of possessive pronouns and the difference between one and ones.
In the speaking section, students have to learn and practice patterns of making and responding to suggestions.
The writing section contains a guided task in which students must write a poem about their class.
学生分析:
English poems are not familiar to the students, so we should let students pay attention to the sound of the language and tell students to look for any patterns or special features of language when they read a poem.
