This summer, I got a chance to visit Hamburg, Germany, as an exchange student. I was lucky enough to stay in Germany for three months.
Hamburg is in the north of Germany, and it is close to Denmark. The city is a relaxing, quiet but colorful place. Hamburg Harbor was the first tourist attraction I visited after I arrived there. My favorite place was the Elbe River. I still remembered the day when I was walking near the river with some of my German friends.
In my host school, I found German students were not under such big pressure of exams as we were, but they also studied hard because they loved it. My host parents were friendly to me. Every time I talked to them, the talk was short. They said they were afraid to be impolite when talking. That’s why we began short talks at first.
