过去分词(短语)作状语,表示动作发生的背景或情况,其逻辑主语是句子的主语。过去分词(短语)在句中作状语可以表示时间、条件、方式或伴随、让步、原因等。
过去分词(短语)作时间状语,相当于一个时间状语从句。有时在过去分词前加上连when/
while/until来强调时间概念。
Asked (=When he was asked) what had happened, his face turned red.当他被问及发生了

过去分词(短语)作条件状语,相当于一个条件状语从句。可加连词if / unless等转换成条件状语从句。

过去分词(短语)作状语时
“连词+过去分词”结构作状语
过去分词是非谓语动词的一种,在句中可以作状语、表语、补足语等。
其逻辑主语通常就是句子的主语。过去分词(短语)作状语一般用逗号同其
他成分隔开,可以表示时间、原因、条件、让步、方式或伴随等,相当于
状语从句。
过去分词作状语时,可在过去分词之前加某些连词。常用的有if, unless,
when, once, until, though, although,even if, even,though, as if等。此结构
实际上是状语从句的省略形式。当状语从句的主语与主句的主语一致,
且状语从句的谓语中含有be动词时,省略从句的主语和be动词即可。

四、过去分词(短语)作状语的注意事项
注意事项
1.如果过去分词作状语时,前面再加上逻辑主语,句子的主语就不再是
过去分词的逻辑主语,这种带逻辑主语的过去分词结构实际上属于独立
主格结构。
2.过去分词作状语的位置:过去分词可放在句前,后面用逗号与句子主
干部分隔开;也可放在句后,前面用逗号与句子主干部分隔开。

教材分析 This lesson is the third lesson of Unit 5. It's a grammar lesson. The grammar mainly discussed in this teaching stage is "Past participle as predicative and adverbial", and the activity theme of this class is "Expressing emotions and describing situations". The main content of the course is to guide students to learn grammar in the context of the theme of this unit- "Music", combined with the content of the text they have learned. Through the study of this lesson, students can understand and master the function and usage of past participle phrases as predicative and adverbials. Understand the logical subject of the past participle and its passive meaning, and guide students to use the past participle flexibly in actual language communication situations.
