课题:Unit 4 Reading is fun
学情分析
本单元教授对象为五年级学生,他们经过四年的英语学习后,具备了一定的英语基础,并养成了较好的听说读写习惯。他们始终对语言学习保持着较高的热情和兴趣,并乐于在学习上展现自己的能力。 五年级学生的思维已慢慢从具体形象思维转向抽象逻辑思维。他们开始察觉到自己内在与外部世界的冲突与联系。通过积累的已有知识,形成了自己的道德观念和思维方式。
大多深圳五年级的学生在低段时就已陆续接触各种中英文图书,对各式各样的书籍并不陌生,也已养成了较好的阅读习惯。他们对书籍的喜爱有自己的偏好,并乐于分享阅读后的感想。本单元的“读书”主题为学生提供了丰富的话题,为学生大胆畅谈提供了可能。
教材分析
深圳版牛津教材以“学习者为中心(learner-centred)”, 充分考虑学生的心里特点、知识结构和已有经验,激发学生学习兴趣,调动学习积极性。本课所在模块为5B Module 2: Work and play. 该模块的三个单元都围绕着我们的业余生活及假期计划展开的。本单元是Module 2的第一个单元: Unit 4 Reading is fun.
在本单元,学生通过介绍图书、购买图书和阅读周活动,学习掌握如何陈述意愿和计划、询问打算、了解英文语言文化中楼层表达的差异,培养良好的读书习惯,并积极参与阅读周活动。本单元核心词汇为一些与书籍相关的内容,如: storybook, dictionary, magazine… 这些词汇对学生来说并不陌生,此前他们在牛津2B中,已经学过关于Book Day的词汇,为本单元的学习奠定了一定的基础。本单元的核心句型为: I‘m going to…延续前一单元一般将来时的时态学习,用表计划与打算的句式结构进一步拓展一般将来时的使用情境。
三、单元设计思路和依据
教材以“话题—功能—结构—任务”为主线,设计和安排大量形式多样,语境真实、趣味性强的语言实践活动,让学生在“用英语做事情(learning by doing)”的过程中感知、实践和体验。所以为学生创设真实的语境是培养学生综合语用能力、提高语言技能、丰富语言知识的关键。本单元以Reading is fun为主题。Book Week为主线,我们设计了四个课时分话题,对单元教学进行整体设计。它们分别是:
课时一:A coming Book Week (即临的阅读周)
课时二:A busy Book Week (忙碌的阅读周)
课时三:An interesting Book Week(有趣的阅读周)
课时四:A meaningful Book Week (有益的阅读周)
第一课时的内容文本为Kitty与Alice在书店的对话,谈论阅读计划和购书意愿展开。学生初步感知与理解一般将来时表计划与意愿s的句式------ be going to。
第二课时在前一课的基础上,将词汇拓展至各类书籍名称,并进一步综合运用be going to疑问句式进行问答。同时,在对话中还涉及了英国和美国在楼层的不同表达,让学生体验语言的多样性;
第三课时在前两课时的积累和运用上,要求学生进一步巩固新学语言知识,了解阅读周形式多样的活动,培养学生阅读技能,养成爱读书的好习惯。
第四课时在前三个课时的基础上,重新梳理单元知识脉络,复习习得目标语言,并以任务式活动进行拓展和巩固,在开办读书周的语境中进一步提升语用能力,帮助学生培养长期坚持的阅读习惯。
四个话题层层递进,保证语言知识的复现和循环,强调语言情境在语言学习中的作用,以任务驱动为主要学习途径,通过不同层次、不同技能的实践、体验、交际,让学生在“做中学,用中学”的过程中学习语言,运用语言。

五、单元教学目标
1. 能在阅读周的语境中正确运用本单元的核心词汇和短语:storybook, dictionary, magazine, newspaper, do a survey等;
2. 能用核心句型 I’m going to 和be going to 来表达自己和别人的意愿和打算。
3. 能正确读出字母组合i和ie在单词中的发音,并能迁移运用到其他含有相关字母组合的单词拼读中;
4. 初步了解英美语言文化的差异;
5. 能够主动表达自己的意愿和打算,培养爱读书的好习惯,并能积极参加阅读周的活动。
第三课时
课时话题:
An interesting Book Week
教学内容:
Look and read. Learn the sound.
教学目标:
1. 学生可以读懂课文,在语境中理解读书周的各种活动与准备工作。
2. 学生可以用所学知识自己设计喜欢的读书周活动,并进一步将知识应用到其他活动的开展与组织上。
3. 发现具有相同发音/ai/的单词。
教学重点:
1. 能在语境中理解读书周各项活动的含义与做法。
2. 能在语境中运用be going to句型进行对话。
教学难点:(明确难点所在、因何而难、解难策略)
1. 理解do a survey和read a play的含义并能说出活动过程。
展开课文中的活动内容,通过实际演练来解决难点问题。
