单元教学设计框架
课题：4B Unit9 A friend in Australia
学情分析
四年级的学生已经积累了一定的词汇与一些常见的、重要的语法知识，具备了听说读写的基本技能；
月份及天气是四年级学生非常熟悉的话题，在日常生活中经常需要使用。因为了解这个话题，所以学生愿意用自己的语言去表达对一些城市的天气、穿着的看法。
学生已经学习了关于季节、天气和穿着等一些基本的单词的表达，也会使用一些疑问词进行询问，如：what, how, when等。
教材分析
本单元是Module 3最后一个单元。本模块的主题是My colorful life。其中，上两个单元分别为My day和Days of the week。而这个module起到了承上启下的作用，为Module 4 Things we enjoy作了铺垫。
单元设计思路和依据
本单元以Jill为核心人物进行展开。Jill在网络上认识了来自澳大利亚的女孩Amy. 从她们的聊天过程中，Jill发现Amy跟她一样，都是喜欢研究天气的女孩（第一课时）。因此，Jill加入了学校的气象俱乐部。俱乐部里老师向他们介绍了中国四季的划分和天气情况，同时也解决了为什么南北半球季节会相反的问题（第二课时）。Amy发了一封邮件给Jill, 介绍了悉尼的圣诞节情况，Jill也回复了Amy有关中国新年的情况（第三课时）。Jill在妈妈的陪同下，通过手机APP, 体验了在线旅游的乐趣，了解了在不同城市不同月份不同天气的情况下，有什么活动可以参加，也知道了如何给自己选择合适的衣物（第四课时）。

Finish Amy’s text and read. Peter’s text on Weibo. Offer the chart with information and ask students to finish it.
